Pork is the least of my health concerns.

I eat very little beef and pork. It's not out of any great health concern though, I just prefer fish, chicken, and shellfish.

For the most part, I stick to venison and fowl that I hunt or buy from other folks, in addition to my chickens. Much cheaper. I buy cuts of pig and beef from other local farmers. I don't have the balls to raise a cow or pig and then kill them, but I could give less of a shite about chickens.

To me, it is. I couldn't care for livestock for several years, and then slaughter and dress them (other than chicken). I have no personal attachment to the deer or ducks that I hunt.

It's a sweeter meat if that makes sense.

shite, if you have the right set-up at camp, you can kill them, dress them, and have them cooking in less than 30 minutes. Absolutely delicious. Some of the organs are even tastier when eaten raw after dressing.

I've never had a boiled peanut. Nor liver mush.

I hate sweet tea.

Me too. I prefer un-diabeetus, so I'll pass on the biscuits and gravy, too.

Uh...what do those have to do with diabetes?

I'm sure there's some correlation (not necessarily causation) between people that eat biscuits and gravy frequently and diabetes

Sweet tea is alright once in a blue moon. But I can't imagine people drinking it everyday, sometimes multiple glasses a day. I know that people do though.

I can't drink straight sweet tea. I cut mine with unsweet and its glorious and I don't have any of that fake artificial sweetener crap.

Confession: I don't like hush puppies. Utterly pointless unless it's slathered in hot sauce.
