Well....in three games our defense has scored three TDs and lets give them credit....Polite was a demon along with Zuniga and kept the pressure on UT's QB.

We need them to play huge again

KY does not scare me passing. The running QB will have to be stopped so we need the DL to play disciplined

Ok. Cool. Just worried expectations are getting a little big all of a sudden.

Because we think we're better than Eastern Kentucky? I think we should probably expect to be better than them, and not lose by seven? The team looked better, performed better and made a series of outstanding plays in the fourth quarter.

The offense.

Let me repeat.

The offense made two massive plays in the fourth quarter!

The fourth! We never do that. We haven't done that since Driskel did some weird scrambles to win games in 2012 and 2014.

Get a grip, brother.

Watched filmroom today on the SEC Network, they had Mac going over some of the plays Sat. He said before the last play Franks came over and asked for the play, the kicking line and how many timeouts we had. He said right then he thought "This guy gets it"
If they open it up a little bit with the weapons we have, could be a fun season watching these guys grow.

Then Franks and Tyrie broke down the play as they saw it. I came away impressed at the demeanor of these two guys in a situation like that.

Franks kind of shocked me, he sounds like he pays a lot of attention in the film room and I like how focused he seemed.

Sounds like a student of the game, who happens to have a cannon attached to his shoulder

Our defense would still be trash and probably in the 80-90s. Needing cupcakes to make you look better than you are is terrible.

You're so full of shite. Every team in the country takes advantage of cupcake games to pad their stats. Nobody in the country has only played two games and both against ranked teams. We're the only team outside of FSU and Miami that hasn't had a cupcake game.

Tell me, what are FSU's offensive rankings?

Ahhh is TJ acting up again? What a surprise he is negative.

Loves to throw stats that downgrade....how about stats that shed better light on UF statmeister? I got a lotta faith in your research.

My stats come from CFB stats. You know the guys paid to do this for a living. Keep spinning though reel. Stats show where a team and coaching staff are at. Its how you assess progress. You are what the stats say you are.

Keep making excuses bro. Where did I say they don't?
I said bad teams need cupcakes to make their team look better than the shite show it is. So yeah we'd probably be in the 90s in total D and 105 in total offense. That's a true sign of success. I told you guys this was going to happen signing 3*s with this staff. You pick one argument and I crush it using the facts. Par for the course. Mac should have these guys ready to go no matter what. They're his players and it's year 3. UT and Michigan are overrated and their offenses suck. UTs defense is one of the worst in the nation. Our D gave up a ton of yards to the #72 ranked offenses in the country. Our run defense is shite. Michigan's defense is #5 But all I heard was they're too young and UF shouldn't have many PROBLEMS with them. UTs defense is ranked #92. There were 13 teams who played two games. UF was the last to score an offensive TD. See isn't this fun? IDGAF where FSU is because Fisher has proven they'll be fine. Mac has not. Fsu could be 4-7 going into our game and they'd shut this staff down again. Right now they're dead last but who do you think has more clout at getting an offense turned around? Jimbo or Mac? Mac is hovering where he's been the last 2 years. Jimbo is a top 5 coach in CFB right now. Jimbo has only played 1 game against the best team in the country. I bet he passes our offense in short order.

i'd love to see that stats that actually make us look good.

let me guess, a 20-10 record for mac since 2015? 2 east titles in his first 2 years?

2015
PF/PA
Wins - 273-124
Losses - 52-132

2016
PF/PA
Wins - 244-64
Losses - 67-154

2017
PF/PA
Wins - 26-20
Losses - 17-33

The point of those stats? When we lose, we lose big.

It's funny because Finch/TJ, you always pay attention to stats unless they're contrary to what you believe. Having a cupcake FCS team at home to help us would indeed help us out.

In fact, Georgia, which had a game more than us last year (we didn't play against Presbyterian), and in their games they only had 9 points more than us through the end of the year.

With a five star quarterback, a five star receiver, two five star running backs and an all-American Tight end -- they only got 9 points more.

This year Georgia played two FCS teams -- we've played two ranked teams, legit ranked teams, not like Notre Dame who doesn't even give a frick about their own program.

Then there are stats you can check like:

14 - 3 in the SEC vs. 7 - 9

12 - 1 in The Swamp vs. 6 - 6

20 - 9 overall vs. 11 - 13

Hard to reproduce those results with the lack of offensive talent on hand.

shite, McElwain just won a game against a rival down 10 players on a short week after a motherfricking hurricane.

Our last coach lost to an FCS with 19 injured players who didn't complete a pass -- forgive me for liking where we are.

Ole Miss, Iowa, Vanderbilt (we were 1 - 1 that last year) Mizzou (0 - 2) and FCS teams.
