Bently had 300 yards with 2 tds against them, and SC only ran the ball like 13 times with their backs on called runs. So ofcourse KYs run D looks good when teams exploit their pass D

Thats like playing GT then bragging about your pass D stats.

I believe they are things that can be corrected. The plays were there, now the execution has to follow through.

I mean, at some point we just may have to come to terms with the fact that all those shenanigans you described is just how Florida is going to play every game.

Or, at some point, you're going to have to come with terms that the offense can actually improve. I have no idea why you'd just pack it up and say a team like Kentucky who struggled against EKU is better than Tennessee?

I think we've finally gone over the hill regarding the offense -- now defenses know Franks can fricking BOMB. Part of the reason we won is because Tennessee DBs didn't think he could throw that far.

Now teams know, it's going to open up a shite ton of weapons for us. We back baw.

If we go 4-1 through the LSU game with signs of improvement on the offense, I'm willing to give mac a mulligan for the Michigan game.

I hope you are right. I still think 2015 Kentucky is more likely.

I think we get by UK fairly easily. I'm more worried about Vanderbilt to be honest. They are under the radar and will be a hard out with their defense.

I expect them to battle Bama hard and keep it close. Hopefully, they are all banged up when we play them.

I'm with you on that one. Vanderbilt is by far the best team in the East -- Georgia is about to be exposed as mediocre, and Vanderbilt is about to show that they're a real force to be reckoned with. The only good thing is that Vanderbilt isn't too focused on offense yet, but if they get a quarterback.

We're all likely fricked.

Kentucky just doesn't have the defense, they've looked good against substandard talent. EK gave Kentucky EVERYTHING they could handle and those lads lost to Western Kentucky.

Sorry but you mispelled Florida as the best team in the east.

Until we're not. We are.

Obviously they're behind us. I should have qualified but there is no reason to believe we're not right now.

Bama fricks people up. For the next couple of weeks. Vandy will limp into the Swamp and we'll win something like 24-10.

Totally agree. I don't wish injury on anyone but I can say with a straight face that I'm glad they have to play Bama this week.

It's sad when we have to hope Vandy gets injured so we don't have to worry about them beating us. Smh.

In our defense, Derek Mason is actually a solid coach and he's built a decent team. It's different when they're mediocre and come to homecoming and beat us by 17 like it's no one's business.

They're a good team, probably second best in the East behind Florida -- and I'd put Alabama on upset alert if Vanderbilt can keep it close and actually hold onto the ball.

I know this isn't directed at me, but my initial point was people saying that vandy would be a tough game. I think everybody can agree that Vandy plays damn good defense. My point initially was that it doesn't matter who you are, Bama beats you up physically. And you feel their physicality for the next few weeks after playing them. There's a reason teams have such a bad record the week after playing Vandy.

I was making a general point about teams in games the week after they play bama and how that benefits us against Vandy next week, not saying that we have to hope Vandy gets guys injured against Alabama so that we don't have to worry about them.

Florida is only going to keep getting better as the year goes on.

TJ, quit being a pussy. Vandy scares fricking nobody, quit being dramatic. Neither does Kentucky. The East will come down to Jax. Y'all quit being hating vaginas, you're bleeding.

Vanderbilt isn't incredible, but they do play us tough. We got them in the Swamp, though, so it might be easy work.

Where did I say I was scared? I said it was pathetic we have to hope Bama injures Vandy. A team with a power RUNNING game and stout defense hasn't given us any trouble at all. Nope. Our run defense is just fantastic. I guess you missed the last 2 VU games where We needed a pick and a last second FG to beat them. I picked UF to beat UK by 3 TDs.

Let me dispel some posted notions:
I watched the entire Eastern Kentucky-UK game. EKU had a hell of an offense and for about 3 qts played well on defense until depth got them and UK turned the game.

How many teams have WE played that played us tough even though we were heavy favorites?

UK is tough and USC has no run game...their biggest weakness. Its Bentley and Samuels and now they lost Samuels. USC has to recruit a bonafide RB that can break games. They may end up 6-6.

30 years is a long time and I remember the 1986 game. We had just came off NCAA probation, crippled by scholly reductions....plus UK had a decent team.
They are going to want this game bad. Again, I had this game as an L before the season started. Stoops may get big program offers after the season ends.

The only way we can win the game is if young Mr Franks settles down and manages the game with a few long bombs mixed in. We have to move the chains more than anything to keep the defense rested.

UT barely outrushed us last week....but their kicking game cost them.
