Also, some fans have started a campaign to have the "We want Dax" chant started Saturday at Willy B and Dax replied that he'd love it if we did that.

That would hurt us with Tindall. I heard today, from a really good source, that while we still lead for Tindall and he wants to play here ... coaches recruiting against us are saying we're taking him for granted and they're asking him why we're showing so much love for Dax.

Dirty bastards.

And I alluded to this earlier but we stayed with friends in Charlotte last week, Concord, who told is Dax can be a bit egocentric. A real stinker. Thinks of himself as superior ... was compared to Stephen Garcia in the hubris department out of high school. Might not be a good fit in the chemistry department.

Just relaying a little of what I was told.

I am honestly worried a bit about this Tindall thing because he is a young man we absolutely have to have - he is a must get if ever there was one.

We should be good, from what Im hearing from a buddy who coaches in Richland 2 Channing is still extremely high on us, also helps that him and Brunson are good friends, and want to play together.

It's obvious Dax is not coming here. So let's give that hope up now before we set ourselves up for disappointment.

It looks like Steven Gilmore is probably going to end up at UNC as well. Not that it's that big of a loss, but I do like his skill set despite him being undersized.

Hopefully we can win Horn back over because I think there is a possibility of it, however I think Bama might miss on a couple of their top targets and he could potentially have a spot over there. Tyson Campbell and Josh Jobe seem to be favoring Miami at this point so who knows what Bama will throw together at DB since they have a huge need at CB. They have Xavier Williams committed as a DB but they might find room for Horn. This will be a guy that most likely will be recruited until signing day.

Let's hope we don't lose Tindall, because that would be the most crushing loss of the year IMO. Sandidge would be a close 2nd. I think we should get him based off of what his mom has been saying.

It's a shame Antwaun Jackson committed to OSU but what do you expect? It's funny because Urban was mad that Muschamp even went after him. Kudos to Boom for giving it a shot.

Is Bryce Thompson still a take for us? Because I don't see any reason as to why he wouldn't come to Columbia.

Negative on Thompson unless a ton of prospects fall through. I disagree on Gilmore, he had his opportunity to commit but waited too long. I think he though cause of his brother he thought he could slow play us and boom moved on. I hope that didn't rub Stephon the wrong way, however stephon was good enough to wait his lil bro not so much. I think he will excel at UNC, here there would have been too much pressure (as stated before look what we expected of Shamier Jeffrey).

Sheeeesh ... I'm kinda relieved about the Gilmore situation with UNC. It's not gonna hurt us at all with Stephon imho.

I hope everyone is right about Tindall. I do feel good about our chances with him but it's definitely not a done deal just yet. Of course no one is done until signing day ... unless they are an early enrollee.

I doubt there are going to be any late surprises this year. This staff just seems to want to get things sewn-up and packaged and closed as soon as possible. Then it becomes a maintenance approach until signing day.

I just think the Brunson and Tindall connection will be strong enough to keep Tindall. It will come down to how UF and FSU treat him if they become a real factor. If not I like our odds with Auburn.

Only reason he postponed is cause he has character and he promised both staffs at UF and FSU one more visit before he chose.

Also I talked to Belk last Friday at the Whitmire/Lewisville game (had to take care of a teammate of his) he won't be visiting unless something drastic occurs. He loves Clemson, he also said if XT decides to visit he will too and they really wanna play together. TIFWIW.

Steven Gilmore attempted to commit to us yesterday. Was told we are full at the position. I knew that kid would get bit by slow rolling.

Probably a good thing at this point. We are full and he would attract tons of comparison to his brother which could be really challenging, see: Shamier Jeffrey.

They were recruiting him, but had not offered yet.

Ppl who know him say he's raw talent but his 'football iq' needs some coaching up. I'll take a gem in the rough. Fine with me. Mold him to what we want and need, ya know?

Honestly, coming from Washington means he's raw and probably hasn't had much good coaching. But he has great size and he looks like a diamond in the rough. Looks like you guys did a great job of identifying talent early.
