What J. Harris had to say on Twitter this morning below a selfie of him in a Vol shirt:

Would you be referring to Jaycee Horn by chance CG?

The site this was pulled from is wrong most of the time so take this info fwiw.

Fair use, excerpted:

quote:

... adding to the Saturday visitors list is four-star offensive lineman Jovaughn Gwyn. Wes previously documented that his teammate, 2019 RB Quavaris Crouch, is slated to be in town for the Gamecocks’ home opener against Kentucky. It appears that Crouch will also be in tow.

The Charlotte product made the short trip to Bank of America Stadium to watch the Gamecocks defeat NC State, and we’re told the victory made an impression on Gwyn given that State was favored to win that contest. It’s been tough to get a handle on Gwyn’s timeline as he’s wrestled with his choice and whether or not to take additional official visits, but I do think South Carolina is in the best shape here. Numbers are tight, but USC wants to fit in Gwyn as an interior lineman and Dylan Wonnum as an offensive tackle.

... Wonnum and his parents will once again be in town on Saturday.

Four-star linebacker Channing Tindall .... South Carolina’s primary competition right now is Florida. USC’s 2-0 start to the season has helped, and 3-0 would do even more.

South Carolina’s communication has continued – strongly – with four-star defensive back Jaycee Hornsince his verbal commitment to Tennessee. Horn told us he’s hoping to make it to Columbia this weekend for the game. Either way, South Carolina is still well within striking distance on this one and has a shot to pull a flip at some point.

If they did that programs such as Bama would go to a three year plan with classes of 35 per class ... between injuries, processing and early draftees they could easily pull it off and still keep a full roster while taking more blue chippers from the rest of us.

I realize that but as the rule stands now we are going to need 3+ years to fill up to 85...let's not even talk about how many we will lose in a dew years....let the coaches do their job and not handcuff them

Maybe it was Horn but I could have sworn it was Harris. I went back to check and the tweet has been removed.

I did see where Dantrel Barkley (JUCO transfer)decommitted yesterday. Apparently he was told to look around and got pissy about it bc he then tweeted "#BBN" and then seemed to think twice about it and tweeted his appreciation for his "time as a Gamecock" and in another tweet where a friend asked if he had any idea what he was gonna do he replied "you already know..go Wolfpack"...NC State was one of the teams that was recruiting him when he originally committed to us.

Barkley was best to look elsewhere. I take it to mean we have bigger fish to land.

Yeah, he was encouraged to look elsewhere but of course he didn't mention that in any of his tweets.

You'll get unbalanced classes and it will hurt you in the long run.

Dax said he really enjoyed it, so did Tindall. Nothing about the other big names so far.

Richt did that to us all the time until the last few signing classes. We played the 2012 with 69 scholarship players. You can right the ship but now you have to back count players.

Yea, just frustrating having zero depth anywhere thanks to SOS and Bubba.

Yeah unfortunately that is probably a being nice type of thing as much as genuine interest. The issue with Saturday, to me, as much as losing is that all of those recruits got a first hand look at every bit of negative recruiting against us out there. The main thing we are fighting right now is "you can't win at Carolina" narrative and Saturday showed them more of the same.

This is getting comical at this point.

XTs dad now wants him to take his visits

quote:

"Over the past couple of weeks my son and I have been talking in depth about reopening his recruitment in order to conduct all five of his official visits. As a parent I believe that as a athlete of his stature and with so many options available to him. He is placing himself at a disadvantage by NOT taking advantage of his official visits. The only true way to know for a fact that Clemson is the BEST program for him is to visit the other college programs such as USC, Ohio State, Alabama and Florida State. Primarily because he has NOT visited some of these programs at all. Which sincerely concerns me. THEN and ONLY THEN should he make his decision based off of his own personal research and knowledge. NOT off what someone else is telling him.

I'm sure Dabo and company have soiled themselves numerous times at the possibility.

What can they say? XT and family have the taters..and NewSpring..over a barrel. Clemson does one thing to piss them off and the illustrious cat will be let out of the bag.

reading the rest of the post lad me to believe this is more of an explanation as to why he was looking around last week than a current plan.

Hearing UGA is coming on strong with their play and him being a fan since childhood, but we still lead as we were first to offer and show faith in him.
