Does anybody call it a "Georgia bulldogs game"? It just sounds weird.

"Well I went to the Georgia bulldogs game yesterday." If you said that to me, I'd think it was your first sporting event ever. Am I outta the loop on something? You went to the UGA game.

The same could be said about UGA

That's exactly the point. People only have so much room for disappointment.

What is the best league in college football that puts out the most pro talent? We all know the answer to that.

The falcons only have four or five SEC players on their roster. And I have only heard of one of them...Julio. And they are in Georgia!

I agree with Tyler.

The best league in football had our champions arse kicked by a Big 10 team last year and an ACC team the year before. They don't draft based on league. SOme of the best players in the NFL come from leagues outside of the deep south. If the Falcons only drafted SEC/Georgia players they would never win a game.

It is weird to say outside of Georgia and maybe the surrounding states. Once you get away from Georgia, you'll need to be more specific. Hell, I've had job interviews in other states that have all featured this same basic exchange:

"Where did you do your undergraduate work?

"Georgia; UGA" [found that if you just say UGA, most interviewers assume you meant "UVA," geography apparently isn't a strong suit for HR heads/hiring partners]

"Oh, Georgia Tech?"

"No, University of Georgia, in Athens"

"Oh, that's supposed to be a fun town."

[Always fun to interview with people who haven't read (or are at least incapable of understanding) the damned resume.]

I don't give a shite that they're my home town team. They treat the city like a Eugene Robinson hooker and they give the state universities the same amount of consideration during the draft as they gave consideration to the ramifications of trading up to draft Julio Jones (none. They gave no consideration).
