Deadspin takes a swing at our beloved Birds.

This is a touchy subject. You might want to delete your post.

The Falcons do suck thanks to their classless, ego maniacal, jock-sniffing owner and his clueless GM. Deadspin is right on target but the whole NFC South sucks arse. Southerners deserve much better.

That's one of the funniest things I've read in a long time.

I especially like the part about the roof of the new stadium looking like a Megatron's a-hole...

I'll be damned if deadspin isn't ripping off the people on our board too

Totally on point. frick the Falcons. frick em. I don't give a shite that they're my home town team. They treat the city like a Eugene Robinson hooker and they give the state universities the same amount of consideration during the draft as they gave consideration to the ramifications of trading up to draft Julio Jones (none. They gave no consideration).

The Falcons could move to LA and it wouldn't matter to me so long as the SECCG stayed in Atlanta. Go Chiefs/Panthers/Bengals (you've made me watch these teams, Coons. You should be ashamed but you're not because you've just become another yankee corporation pretending it's some Atlanta institution I should be tied to by birth. Sombitches )

This argument is always funny to me. The Falcons are not obligated to draft anyone from UGA nor should they be.

They're not obligated to do that, but when attendance is slipping and you have a draftable player would would immediately address a skill position that you're desperately needing to fill (RB), you take that shot.

The roof really makes it. It already looked like an open a-hole on display at Magic City, but now they’ve added a roof that actually simulates human peristalsis. All this in a city that has one working snowplow. Truly, we live in a blessed age.

Now that I think of it, it's really the Tebow-Jacksonville principle. They didn't learn, either.

In a division with Brees, Newton and Winston, upgrading the pass rush was a MUCH more pressing need than drafting a RB at 8 overall. Did anyone watch that abortion of a game against Carolina to end the season? Cam Newton had time to grill a steak in the pocket because the pass rush was so piss poor.

No team in the NFL goes specifically for local college kids. The object is to win in the NFL not cater to locals or fans of college teams that happen to share a similar location. In baseball you will see the Braves draft a lot of local kids but they also have 500 rounds to do it in. The NFL doesn't have that luxury.

It's been like that since we let Abraham walk. We desperately need a consistent pass rusher.

Well to be fair, they can't do that either.

Love the short term mentality. They had a nice run of playoffs until the last 2 years.

The same could be said about UGA
