Yeah, sorry I just don't buy it.

I'm supposed to believe that shite because Boz supposedly has sauces?

He also has a fetish with Hurts being perfect, which leads me to question that post's validity.

Even if it did happen, someone needs to grow the frick up on both sides.

No trigger here.

For a staffer to say that about probably the most loyal CFB fanbase in america would indicate that he, has been triggered. That's a concern because they should be above ridicule. jmo

No offense to the OP, but can we please nuke this thread?

No one is going to change the mind of the opposing side so it's just a merry go round of everyone getting pissed.

It's not that sensational to believe that one of our dumb arse fans said something to Hurts's parents. Look at some of the folks on this board.

I like Jalen the person and Jalen the leader and Jalen the runner. But Jalen the passer sucks arse. Look, the cold hard truth is, we played the 93rd passing efficiency defense in America Saturday night and they shut us down. They are 104 in passing yards allowed giving up 263.4 yards per game and we put up 123. Josh Rosen put 491 on them.

Now our OL played like shite, receivers dropped balls and the run game didn’t help a lot. But we are the most talented fricking team in America and you’re telling me that we can’t pass for 150 yards against a suck arse pass defense? That’s not going to get it done in big games. Georgia and Auburn will skull drag this offense if we can’t do some simple things like read a blitz and check to a hot read where the blitz is coming from. We’ve had great TEs but refuse to involve them in the passing game except as a blocker. A good TE is a QBs best friend. And they should be roaming free in the zone vacated by the LB if they blitz. We still haven’t run many screens either. These are simple reads, simple throws designed to blunt an aggressive defense and make them back off or pay dearly. You don’t have to be Joe Namath to make the throws we need him to make consistently. If he can’t grow into the job and make those rudimentary reads and throws, them I don’t want him playing QB.

What we are seeing over the last half of last season and the first part of this season is DCs have figured out how to stop Bama with Hurts. If you have a good enough athlete playing LB and an above average front four, you spy Hurts to contain him with the athletic LB and pressure him with the rest of your front 7 and he will be negated. A&M used that formula to hold him to 56 yards rushing and a short TD run. And before you start about sacks, he was sacked 3 times for minus 19 yards. His long was 38. That’s ok for most QBs. It’s horrible for Jalen. The Aggies shut him down. And I promise you, LSU, Auburn, and UGA have the athletes to use that same formula to get the same results.

We’ve got to get better QB play to reach our goals. That’s all I’m saying. If it’s Jalen, that’s great with me. If not, then we’ve got to move on.

No, not when

I don't care how talented they're supposed to be. Not to say that Hurts played a perfect game or anything. But our supposedly elite receivers (besides Ridley) haven't shown any ability to make tough catches. Add in a couple of easy drops, a couple of penalties and you get shitty passing stats. Not that complicated.

So you're telling me he had 11 rushes for 75 yards. Sounds fine to me . Though I will note that at least one of those sacks was maybe his fault when he bailed from the pocket for no reason.

Not to mention AM is the number 2 in sacks and gave up 118 YPG. They aren’t a slouch like people think.

Built on games against shite teams. Their advanced stat defensive numbers aren't terrible but they aren't great.
A &M is about the 4th best defense we'll play in the regular season and they are well below #1 and #2.

We didn't play well on offense. It happens.

Yes, that was his stat line Saturday night. Take away the one play where he got loose for 38 and you have 10 rushes for 37 yards. Now maybe you say that's not fair and you have a valid point. But I'm saying the Hurts we've seen when the offense is working has several 10+ yard plays and doesn't average less than 4 yards per carry on all but 1 run. He got contained very well by Chavez. That's a scary thought since it's true that A&M has some great athletes but they still aren't the defense that Auburn or UGA or maybe even LSU is.

I like Hurts, but I'm afraid this is as good as he gets. I hope it's good enough for the ship, but I dunno.

Dude, we won a nattie in '92 with Jay Barker at QB...we mostly won it despite him...in the Sugar Bowl he was 4-13 for 18 yards and 2 INTs and we won by 3 TDs. He was a sophomore then...by his senior year he was 5th in the Heisman voting. Way too early to think Hurts has maxed his potential not even halfway thru his sophomore year...

I agree, but Jay Barker had Brian Burgdorf behind him, not Tua. This offseason will be a battle.

I don't think we replace him half way through the year. But I'm worried

Absolutely not. Hurts is the QB. But, we need more consistency and better performances down the stretch or it'll be a real struggle.

This the bottom line. We can talk all we want, but this is the the bottom line.
