Yep, we're finally getting to the good stuff.

I'm also curious about how in the hell they're going to get Jimmy to Saul now. We're on the third season and they've worked so hard to turn him into the good guy. The victim even. So, you know some fricked up shite is on the way.

When he got fricked on the Kettleman deal, he told Mike never again.... I thought he became Saul right there. Everything he's done since then has been for Kim. When Kim is done, Jimmy is done, imo.

Well, there's some things I'd like to say about that, but I can't since you want to watch this show backwards for some reason.

Generally though, I'll say it's just going to be interesting to see how they pull this off. They've made us all very sympathetic to Jimmy. There is no reason under the sun to sympathize with Saul though. Zero. Sure, he's hilarious. But he's also evil.

You're probably right about Kim though. Whatever fricked up way they figure out how to ruin her and make Jimmy partially to blame for it will be what sends him to hell probably.

I bet Saul will come from a magazine or some no name brand product from a grocery store... He'll have to do it to avoid going to jail or a new alias, in an agreement (to quit law) with his brother. His brother said for "Jimmy" to quit and be debarred... but Saul... No one knows and that's the beauty of being a great lawyer.

Remember... he got his law degree from an offshore correspondence school... it should be easy to scramble some paperwork and resubmit to the New Mexico Bar with a new name.

If you go down gamblin', you may never have to go.

That seems to be Jimmy's strategy right now.

Well I am Scots Irish and Ireland is no fly zone for snakes (even before St Pat) so that may explain part of it. In Scotland you have grass snakes but if you are afraid of them you are probably a little english girl. Most of Scotland is based on drinking and the dares that follow drinking.

Not sure where snakeville is, but it clearly is not in Scotland or Ireland. On a side note, outside of the south, Scotland seems to have lots of deep fried things. Obviously fish and chips but Scots are known to deep fry pizza as well as candy bars.

Perhaps if you got out your trusty deep fryer the next time you encountered a snake your fear will be replaced by the southern comfort of deep fried foods.

I had the same theory that he would have to change his name or something in order to be able to keep practicing law in the state. But if we both or the viewers think that's why he changes his name then I can almost guarantee you that it will be for some other reason even more sinister. BB and BCS are the best shows on television right now and I know from experience that Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould will pull the rug out from under us pretty soon.
Jefferson or any fans of the shows are there any good podcasts or websites you would recommend for info beside the Talking Saul podcast

Just watched the latest Better Caul Sall (sic)

SPOILER ALERT

SPOILER ALERT

.

.

.

Kim and Jimmy think they have the jump on Chuck and Howard, but they know nothing that Chuck and Howard don't want them to know. Rug about to be pulled out from under these two lovebirds.

This isn't checkers vs chess.

This is the board.... the same board both games are played upon.

This is lines.

Apparently I was taking the laziest dog for a drag when I noticed the lines in the bricks. Maybe he was not lazy but just did not want to cross said lines. I guess I better call Saul.

Strrrrrrrrike!!!

***NO BREAKING BAD SPOILERS*****

Worked out about how I figured it would. The thing that was most suprising though was how fast they ran through the whole trial. Thought for sure they were going to drag this storyline out the rest of the season.

Chuck's trajectory is now complete finally. From noble nice guy victim >>>>> to exposed as deceitful, spiteful, diabolical conman.

This episode is the type of thing they would have milked for 7 episodes in Seasons 1 and 2 though, so this is great f'n news. Means they are hitting the fast-forward button because there's something they want to show us. Most likely we're about to step on some hidden face-melter landmines. Also, this one was a complete line-fest. Very very heavy on the lines. And I figured out a big piece of the puzzle on that front. I have to let it percolate a little longer though.

What do you make of all the exit sign imagery? Just subliminally saying bye bye to chuck?

Also, I still can't figure out what the point of Mike fixing the door was. Just to get pictures of the lantern on the papers?

****NO SAUL SPOILERS********NO BREAKING BAD SPOILERS*******

Most people probably think I'm full of shite on the line thing. Fair enough. Go in peace.

For the one or two of you that think I could be on to something though, please put your tray tables and seat backs in the upright and locked position, buckle your seat belts, and read this article that I found while reading the news this morning...

LINK........................................

quote:

Scientists in the Netherlands and the US have discovered that for some people, simply looking at vertical lines, either on a static image, or in real life, can trigger a neural loop of activity in the brain.

They suggest decking, radiators, escalators, repetitive brickwork and even the stripes on awnings or deckchairs could set off attacks, seizures, or just a vague feeling of unease.

Look at the pictures from the article dammit. They could be taken straight from scenes from "Better Call Saul"...

Conclusion:
-forget motive at this point
-we'll deal with that later
-I;m not saying they are trying to give people epileptic seizures
-but know this.............
-this is not a coincidence......
-the creators of Better Call Saul are dabbling in gamma oscillations, brain manipulations and things known to trigger photosentive epilepsy
-it's indesputable

quote:

“Examples of striped patterns that are potentially provocative in daily life are rolling stairs, venetian blinds, striped clothes and buildings.”

-basically all things used heavily and purposefully on the show
-this isn't an e-joke.

Stripes, dudes.

Could be that or could be saying goodbye to Jimmy McGill. Both probably.

If you watched the preview for next week, the last two words were "Saul Goodman".

It's got to be a set up for something coming down the line. For one thing, the dangerous fire hazard thing with the lanterns and papers has now been planted in the our minds.

I'll be shocked if that house doesn't burn down by the end of the season. WIll Chuck be in there? Uh oh.

-one of the main characters in Breaking Bad has cerebral palsy (that's not a spoiler, that's episode 1)
-many people with this affliction also suffer from epilepsy and seizures
-does the writer have a family member or someone close to him in real life with this affliction?
-is that why a main character has cerebral palsy?
-would that also explain maybe how he knows about the gamma-oscillation-producing-subliminal-imagery etc?
-must solve this riddle
-help!

It would seem too that it's having its effect on you. I would suggest you refrain from any more watching before you harm yourself.

Very interesting. The Better Call Saul people definitely went to the same photography school as this guy or read the same books.

They take it to a whole new level though. Just last night, the center of the episode, Chuck, sits in the witness stand with extra lines clearly added to the ceiling tiles.....and he's wearing a pin-striped suit/with a diagonal striped tie/ and a freaking striped shirt. This is also a character that suffers some whacked out obscure mental/physical condition that makes him allergic to electricity. Similar to a whacked out obscure mental/physical condition that makes people go into seizures if they look at too many stripes.

Maybe they're just into artsy fartsy photography and obscure and interesting illnesses and their side-effects.

There was also another rainbow homage to the saul trajectory WM office logo last night.

There were two downward rainbows in the southwestern Georgia OKeefe mural on the back of the courtroom. Where the two mirrored downward rainbows converged sits...........Saul's secretary. Perfectly in the middle.

Double-downward trajectory chuck/jimmy metaphor. (can't fully explain without BB spoilers)

I also like the veterinarian character. He can get you a job as a criminal or hook you up with a pick pocket or an assasin, but you'd better make sure your goldfish has a quality bubble maker.

He needs to step it up a little if he's going to land a spin-off Better Call Saul prequel though.
