You should post that on your tumbler account, you'd get hundreds of reposts.

If you like Better Call Saul, which for the most part has been a slow and boring snoozefest, I don't understand what you're waiting for on Breaking Bad.
I'm actually kind of jealous. You have probably the best television series ever made waiting at your finger tips.... for free, commercial free wiith a free month Netflix membership.
The only down-side is that everything you watch afterwards will always suck in comparison. It's not perfect by any means, but its probably as good as its gotten so far.

My wife and I have discussed this very subject. We've decided that we don't want to spoil Better Call Saul by watching BB reruns in tandem. When Better Call Saul is over, we'll do the BB marathon. Then watch BCS all over again to pick up on stuff we missed.

-Regurgitated tin foil gimp memes are off target here.
-I'm simply trying to unlock the mysteries of how the storytelling for this tv show works visually.
-And you can trust me 100% on this kind of thing.
-one of the main characters in these two tv series, every bit as important as Saul or Mike or Heisenburg etc is the setting.
-The background.
-All the things you absorb indirectly subconsciously from the periphery that are framing your point of focus on the characters themselves usually.
-The setting/background/periphery doesn't have any "lines" to speak, but it does have a lot to say.
-and in the case with non-natural man-made backgrounds/frames, the creators or doing it deliberately with the other kind of "lines".
-there may be some kind of artsy fartsy vocab term for this stuff, but I'm just going off instinct of what I see with my own two eyes which is
-Lines, dude
-Lots and lots of lines, everywhere
Let's look at last night's new episode.
SPOILERS****SPOILERS**********SPOILERS*********Blah blah b
-the ones with Mike were super obvious with the opening shot of the shoes hanging on a line, and the trademark Mike road centerlines everywhere, and how the shoe on the line tied it full circle in the end.
-so lets' look at Saul's trajectory segments
-one of their favorite ways to use the lines is with the window blinds.
-and they use them indirectly too with shadow lines
-and they take the obvious circumstances of the episode story to include other obvious lines
-are you seeing now?
-this has been going on for a while.....
-but was just admitted to last week with the WM logo metaphor thing
-which was brought up again by the secretary this week who fixed the crooked part. Which or course, becomes here futile role to try and fix things for Jimmy in Breaking Bad too. Lines and metaphors everywhere.
-the other thing I didn't mention last time about the logo was the way Saul removes the tape lines.
-he was doing it the way his brother told him to do it from when they were removing the tape lines off the electromagnetic-sensitivity emergency blanket shield protectors.
-can you people see all the fricking lines yet?
-and then of course the final shot of the episode

Litigator, This is potentially one of the greatest tv shows of all time. And we are alive right now as it is unfolding. And it's about lawyers and the law and that world kind of. And since you claim to be a lawyer, I'm kind of shocked you're not more curious about it.
There may be things that you could see, that layman could not, so quit smelling your own farts and get on board.
Have the first two seasons watched by this Sunday, at the latest. And we'll go from there.

You do realize I was just joking, right?
I am doing my part to make this the longest running thread of the offseason
Now about way lines are so prominent in the series. Could it be the folks on the production staff out in California have some daily inspiration?

-I've cracked the code
-the line metaphor represents the series itself as a whole, not just specific parts within the story
-I was focusing too close and had to zoom out
-a line by definition extends infinitely in two directions
-Better Call Saul is a prequel
-one direction of a line from breaking bad
-the other direction of the line , the sequel, has been shown in glimpses, the parts at cinna-bun. After breaking bad
-brilliant stuff on their part. Unreal.
-note the date that I typed this because this can't be found anywhere else. It will be copied though.

I'll give it a watch; I usually don't like the way legal shows are made because they seldom reflect reality.

The legal stuff is just an excuse so they can put Lines everywhere in the background and hypnotize innocent people like me.

Keep an eye on Ernesto's shirts going forward then.
You're not even meant to notice this stuff though, directly. But trust me... it's there. ALong with a lot of other things.
These guys are masters of creating a subliminal tone. And it's done with The Lines, and with the four color scheme they use, and the way there's always a neighbor dog barking way way off in the distance during any scene in Chuck's house, so that you feel how quiet it is in there without the electrical power on, and a bunch of other subtle master craftsman shite that all add up to this thing being different than anything else.

MOving on. HOw long do you think it takes for a pair of shoes to naturally weather and rot off a telephone line in old mexico like that?
The answer to that could mean whether we just saw our first flash-forward into the actual Breaking Bad time line with that awesome opening sequence.
They've really shifted into high gear now. First two seasons were too slow, but maybe that's whats making the pay-off even more enjoyable now.

By the way, you said to mark this date because soon the internet would be ablaze with line theory on BCS that you were the first to come up with... I regret to inform you that my wife found someone on Tumbler that's already been pushing this for a couple weeks. Among other things even more subliminal and synchratic.
Posted on 4/27/17 at 10:15 am to deeprig9
The creators of the show came up with the LIne thing. Not me or your wife's e-friend on tumbler.
It's not a theory. And all I did was notice what they were doing, so I wanted the date recorded because out of all the things I've read anywhere that scour the show top to bottom (and there's a shite load of it), I haven't seen anybody else point it out. Still haven't because you didn't link your wife's tumbler thing.

Litigator & Cheesegrits, Are you caught up through season 3 yet?
This is a big deal right. After two slow seasons waiting for it, w e finally get to see in the prequel how it is that Mike came to meet up with Gus. Eventually becoming his right hand man.
Did you see how at the exact moment their two trajectories inevitably collide, they both happen to be standing on the same centerline though?
Far out.

Hey Jefferson, not all of us have seen breaking bad, so all of this is new to us. Can you refrain from spoiling BCS plots with BB references?
