I have news for David Shaw: many of Stanford's football players could not have gotten into Stanford if they were not football players. It's called "special admissions."

He kind of has a point. Education in the south and especially lower income communities is atrocious.

Let's face it, our region is dumb as a bag of hammers.

Dude.... You are from Alabama. No state can really brag about their education in the south. Florida is pretty solid, but the Deep South is a shite show.

I know he's right about MS but we have three fairly large states in the SEC that surely have more than 1. So, no. he's not right. If a white person had said that the SJW crowd would be triggered, it would have been called a microaggression and a safe space would have been required because of the institutional racism.

David Shaw sounds like a Big Time Bitch and if he ever wants to catch these hands I'm just a phone call away

Absolutely. My state is terrible but it's home and most people choose to be dumb because their parents or culture don't care.

I just looked at high school graduation percentage and literally 13 of 14 SEC states make up the bottom 20. Only one who is better is Missouri.

In case you were wondering, here are Stanford's "admission requirements"

LINK

There were at least two people in my graduating high school class that woulda qualified. I would have if I wasn't a lazy piece of garbage.

I would think he could get a few from the greater Birmingham area, a few from the Huntsville area, a couple from the Gulf Coast area in Alabama. He could get several from the Atlanta area and several from Florida overall. The question is will he want them because 90% of the them will be very average ball players.
