Morris...the second coming of GMac? I think we can live with a good game manager if this defense is what people are saying it is. If not go with Coker and take the picks he throws with the big throws he also makes and hope for the best. Either way, Bama is going to be a tough out for anyone this year. Great defense, excellent punter and great skill players on offense.

Alec?
I thought it was Cornwell who was impressive in Spring Game.
Has he regressed?

Seems so. Saban doesn't even mention his name anymore when discussing the QBs. Supposedly something off the field happened and his play has tanked as well according to reports.

Corn has both regressed and put himself in the dog house. He is literally 5th string right now. This is a Coker vs Morris battle now with everyone realizing BB6 is the future, but needs a year to bulk up and refine his game.

Nobody truly knows, but Cornwell has had a disappointing fall camp according to multiple 2nd hand reports.

Wow did not expect that. I thought Cornwell did really well in Spring Game, was I mistaken?

The decision won't be made until right before the first game. It'll come down to which QB can grow the best Bama bangs.

If he's the best. Saban won't put a QB out there who can't play. If we can design an offense to fit a backup running back or a backup receiver or even a backup DB then we can probably find one for a true QB. The Kiffin factor is huge with us as he schemes to his QB's strengths.
....but keep wishing and hoping.

All of this....bama doesn't need a superstar to win games...just a guy who makes smart decisions with the ball, who can distribute it to our playmakers without mistakes, and a clutch play or two when necessary....we don't have to have a Cam or JFF to take over the game.

If you can trust reporters then yes Cornwell has regressed terribly. I like Morris. I think this will be a really good run blocking line and the defense is supposed to be great. This will not be a flashy offense so the QB with the least mistakes will start. Morris is likely the guy.

The QB position will be the biggest blip on Saban's resume. He's never been able to develop a QB

Dumb rumors. Coker starts, book it.

Alabama can with with Alec, good for him!!!
ETA:
To Sims and others connected to Alabama's program, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound Morris is an intelligent, dependable player with the best grasp of Alabama's playbook of any quarterback on the Tide's roster and a coach's level understanding of the position.
He's not all about himself. He's about his teammates first, and he pushes every guy to the fullest. He only played like three snaps this year, but he was the best leader off the field, on the sideline. ...
"He's a great guy, and I think he deserves whatever he gets next year, and I hope for nothing but the best for him."

An almost lifetime achievement award based upon a superior football team. AJ doesn't start at most schools that have good QBs

Took JPW, won the West and took the national champs to the wire in the SECCG
Took 3* GMac and won the BCSCG
Took 4* AJ and won back to back titles.
