Is Bama really going to Start Alec?

Serious question because thats the word from Trusted insiders, and what's more suprising is Bateman could be ahead of Coker and Cornwell has fallen from consideration. Would be pretty cool to see a 3* qb from Allen start in his hometwon.

Probably. Either way they're going to suck on offense early in the season.

Alec Morris is built like a tank. Looks like one too.

Trusted insiders,
Why ask a question if your information is from these people?

If true, and I can't see it, Coker is snake bit. Dude would go through his entire career not starting for a team. Should have transferred to South Alabama in hindsight.

I just hope Saban has learned his name.

Maybe. But considering what Kiffin did with Sims...

Watching Sims on some replays recently, he obviously provided Bama an option with his legs. Many times there wasn't anything there with a play, and he turned it into something on his own. Does any of "The 5" have that capability ?

Coker can run, though he isn't as shifty. More of a get a lot of yardage if he has enough space to take off type.
Bateman is a pretty good athlete, played some WR in the Spring.
Barnett is a good athlete and can move around and run.
Cornwell is supposed to be pocket mobile, but not really a scramble guy.
Morris may not be a statue, but he definitely isn't a runner as far as I know.
It would appear that it is down to Coker vs Morris.

Dumb rumors. Coker starts, book it.

If there is anyone who should be able to play under pressure, it's Morris. Dude played in front of 18,000 people every Friday in Allen.

frick it.. Fourthree, I think you should start at qb.

Alabama will start whoever gives them the best chance to win. Best of luck to the young man if he gets the nod. It must be a surreal feeling being the starting quarterback for that program.

He punted last year in the spring before JK got on campus. Was never seriously intended to be a punter. Still funny though.
