LSU is the team of the Century because LSU has won at least 8 games a year the entire Century.

You're really not very smart. Participation reports don't list the starters. But you already laid out the starters for us. Possibly you should understand how stats are accumulated and kept before you start quoting them and making up new stats based on what you infer happened from looking at bios which do not indicate any stats from the game in question.

And quit deflecting on this past season's bios vs 1998. We aren't talking bios from last year. We are talking 1998. The bios you have listed all show 12 games played. Even though the stats from many of those players show things like "1 hit" for the year.

Wait, a player has to have stats to be considered played or participating in the game? It's game participation for the game, not who dressed out you imbecile.

You're too stupid to even argue with.

Here's a tip...when you pull up bios on that website and some of them say things like "John played in all 12 games in 1998", even though there was already a 12/0 in front of his name, it tells you what the "12" meant for the bios they were writing. When there are others with a 12, and no mention of having played in all the games, and no mention of any other accomplishment, they probably didn't play very much. It's also likely why the media folks and college football analysts say you are wrong. Like I said, there is a participation report, which lists the non starters. The names you provided don't appear there. So by like 9 out of 10 measures of the game, you are wrong. Only by the inference based upon bios with no specific mention of the game in question does your argument hold any weight....basically, you can't prove shite, and what we have to go by are the analysts, official record of the game, facts, and popular opinion. You lose, I win.

Holy shite, are you still going off of the 9 players listed for Tennessee as having played that game? They were mostly starters for that game so that tells me they are incomplete. Tennessee had 18 starters from that game drafted by the NFL with an additional 8 guys who were backups that were drafted in the NFL that played in that game. They don't have to register stats to be credited with playing in the game much like if you look at the participation report for the LSU-Alabama game it includes players who didn't registers any stats like:

Lamin Barrow
Alfred Blue
Ego Ferguson

Also, the fact that Milliner's bio mentions that he played in this game but did not record any stats tells me that the other must not have played at all which could make that 45 number even lower. Straight from their Alabama bios:

Dee Milliner: "Played but did not record any statistics in a loss to the No. 1 Tigers"

HaHa Clinton Dix-not listed as having done anything his bio in this game

Quinton Dial-not listed as having done anything his bio in this game

Ed Stinson-not listed as having done anything his bio in this game

Kevin Norwood - nothing in his bio for this game
Vinnie Sunseri-I don't even think he played in game at all

All of the above are listed in the participation report as having played but have no statistics. They are all included in the 45 number of draftees that played in that game.

Nearly everyone you mentioned was a starter on kick and punt coverage.

Um...that is not really a criteria I use to determine the Game of the Century.

You don't like great defensive battles do you?... nobody could hardly move the ball on either team that whole year so it was pretty obvious they wasn't going to run up and down the field on each other. Yea I would have loved to see a couple touchdowns in that game but that's what historically great defences do.. they shut down the other team. But I love watching great defence..

Ummmm no. Not at all what I said.

What I said was that every player on the team for that year who didn't red shirt or get injured was listed as such...... 12/X .....which would imply that every player on the team who hadn't red shirted or gotten injured had played in all 12 games (and it was actually 13 for the season....which one did they not "play" in). Half of those guys, when you look at the season stats, had something measurable...a couple tackles in 12 games...a few return yards, etc...but there are many that you have listed which show "1 tackle and 2 hits" for 12 games...of course, guys can play and not have recordable stats....but you'd have to think that with that plethora of talent, someone other than you would have noticed it....my contention is that not only did those guys not play in all 12 (13) games, but that the bios listed games that each player may have made the travel squad, but not actually seen a snap....and there is absolutely nothing you can point to to prove otherwise, and in fact, all the evidence says you are wrong.

When you can post an accurate count of which UT players saw snaps in the '98 game, you'll have our attention. Until then, kindly STFU.

That is because although Bama and LSU hate each other they still have respect.

If I was not a Bama fan I'd be an LSU fan. I like their style.
