I went to school there. Graduated back in '11. I was in a fraternity so I figured I'd ask.

C) Any whiskey worth drinking is worth drinking straight. Try Scotch.
I love scotch to switch things up but bourbon is so much better right now. The Scottish really need to up their game.

Four Roses is a good bourbon but please try Weller 12 year. About the same price (ish) but I really like it.
For whatever reason, I've never cought onto Scotch. Maybe I'm doing it wrong if that's possible.
Thanks for the tip, I'll try it.
It's all a matter of taste, but I prefer Scotch or Irish whiskey because bourbon is too sweet for me as a general rule. I like Jameson 12 yr but it's a litle pricey and I usually end up just getting regular Jameson and spending the extra money on good Scotch.

Good People Snakehandler IPA

There's a reason they can't even come close to meeting the demand for it.
I took the tour and it's not because they try. They only brew it once every couple of weeks. They don't have a huge place and to brew the Snakehandler it has to sit in the vat for a pretty significant period of time. They just don't have the capacity to take up that amount of time for only one brew.
The tour guide said it had actually helped their brand though, because people go looking for it and can't find it. Just adds to the mystique.

Any of you guys enjoy a good cigar? What are your favorites?
My current favorite is a Monte Cristo... Can't remember the specific one though. I have a couple left at home so I will have to check.

I was at a Piggly Wiggly in Homewood, Alabama and they had "drink while you shop" draft beers for sale. I had the Snakehandler and wept tears of joy at its sheer deliciousness.

Snakehandler is the nectar of the gods.

Good People is right across the street from Regions park. Makes for a good afternoon when there is a ballgame in town.

I went there and caught a game with my Dad and brother and we stopped by the brewery. That is a fantastic ballpark.

Ashton VSG's
Padron 1926 Annie's
Alec Bradley Tempus
And the freaking awesome Oliva V Maduro. Ordering a box of those. A new fav.

I admire you for being willing to light that thing on fire. I just can't bring myself to do it. Mighty fine series of cigars, though.

Had one of these this week. I was disappointed in the ash, but the flavor and finish were very good.

Another mighty fine cigar. I really enjoy a lot of Olivia cigars. Olivia serie "O" torpedo is one of my favorites too.

Yeah the Tempus is a very tight roll. The draw can be a challenge.
I want to go get some milder cigars today. I think I will get some Oliva O's and G's. And a few Perdomo Champagnes. Those bastards are like smoking butter.
Any high end mild to medium recommendations? My upper end purchases always tend to be the super strong.

My new favorite is the Brick House robusto. It's certainly not a "high end" priced cigar, but it burns better than most and is just so damn smooth.

If you haven't had a Cohiba Red Dot, check those out. A bit pricier than the Brick House. Medium bodied.

Another favorite mild/medium is H Upmann Vintage Cameroon Belicoso. Had one of those last week and was super impressed. Always a fan of H Upmann.

Thank you sir. I don't always stick to the higher end. I just like having them in case I am feel like treating myself. I have a few Partagas 150's that have been in the humidor for 3 years. Those I can't bring myself to cut. I just like looking at em . Haha.
Thanks for the recommendations.

Best of luck at both of those goals.
