I love Scotch, as my Dad got me drinking it. However, I don't have a "scotch budget" yet as I'm still a law student.
I can get a great bourbon under $30. Any great scotches in that range?

Great? No. But you can sometimes find Glenlivet under $30, which is a nice 12 year single malt.
As for bourbon, I don't drink it quite as often but I've found Four Roses to be a wonderfully underrated bourbon.

Glad to hear you found someone. I'm currently trying to bargain for orders and unfortunately leaves the girlfriend at home for two years. Won't last

Four Roses is a good bourbon but please try Weller 12 year. About the same price (ish) but I really like it.
For whatever reason, I've never cought onto Scotch. Maybe I'm doing it wrong if that's possible.

For the record, REBEL5 AC is a legitimate bourbon expert. His family owns tGOAT liquor store and he grew up around it. If he says buy something, by God, but it. He also knows the good stuff that is easy on tWallet too.
