Let's be honest, it's best for the SEC if Bama goes to the playoff over MSU

Of course the best case scenario is that BOTH get in but that seems less and less likely as Baylor, TCU, FSU, Oregon and OSU seem to have relative cakewalks the rest of the way and will all end up with 0 or 1 loss. MSU and Bama both have a game they could very easily lose after their matchup this weekend, and one of them will probably face Georgia in the title game.
If the goal is to have an SEC national champion, and our choices are MSU or Bama, Alabama is the far surer bet. Alabama at their best is the best team in the country because they are by far the most talented team in the country. Mississippi State is a team with an unusually high level of experience among it's starters and a fantastic QB, but one that will likely be the most talented team on the field in only one remaining game this year (Vandy).
It's in the best interest of the SEC for Bama to win this weekend.

The more variety a conference has in championships, the better. If Bama won it every year, then the SEC becomes "top heavy"

It's definitely in the best interest of our wives and kids that we win out.

Couldn't agree more.

The point is that MSU is less likely to win a championship than Bama is if they make the playoff, regardless of who wins on Saturday.

Bama isn't better than MSU
Or LSU
Or Ole Miss
AU remains to be seen

Why do you say that?

Uh.... I think it's safe to assume they are.

Only dickriders have this as a goal. I couldn't less if the SEC was left out of the playoffs all together. And SEC fans would look stupid bragging about the conference owning the college football landscape when you consider the last 3 champions from the conference would all be from the same school

What's wrong with State going and showing everyone how tough the SEC West is? And Bama...

Let's be honest. If kiffin sets up a couple of well designed run plays with Dims as the rusher...we will have out stated State.
If we score off of one of those....it will be game over as state scrambles to adjust.
That'd be my early gameplan.

Luckier how?
Until the last drive last Saturday, Bama only had one first down in the second half. LSU choked.
