Ferguson, what's your opinion?

Do you believe the police/pro-Darren Wilson narrative or the protester/pro-Michael Brown story of the events?

I honestly don't know. You don't charge a cop without expecting something to happen. At the same time, I'd like to think there could've been another option then killing him. But I'm also a poster on a message board and not a guy who committed a crime or a cop who was dealing with said guy. So that's easy for me to say what should've happened.
That all said, none of it excuses the looting and violence that's happened since. It makes me think that their predecessors who fought for civil rights and equality would be a little embarrassed by their far from peaceful actions as a result.

I believe the police. Time to get those protesters together and process those poors into food for other poors.

Don't know much about it, but I've signed the guest book of every wedding I've ever attended as "Turd Ferguson."
My opinion on that, pretty fricking classy.

I really wish we picked our outrages better.
This looks like a pretty standard case of assault a cop and die. That could change with some new evidence, but early indications seem to be on the police officer's side.

I think if he was a white guy, the cop wouldn't have shot him and left him for dead in the street.
As far as what happened, I hope the entire story comes to light. It's the only real way to try and understand why the police acted as they did.

I haven't paid any attention to it.

Unless there's more evidence -- it's not just in the favor of the cop, it is entirely on the cop's side.
1. Kid just got done robbing a store.
2. There is direct, unbiased testimony in a recording just after it.
3. He was shot all in the front and his body was slumped over. You don't get shot six times and fall forward, especially when the last is in the top of your head.
Unless something crazy comes out, like an actual video of the altercation I'm on the cop's side.
And frick those looters.

Right now I have no judgement either way. I just want to know how close Michael Brown was when he was shot, and if Darren Wilson got his face bashed in.

No. There's some things that need explaining. The police have admitted that the initial contact with the two black men was not because of the robbery. They claim that as the police officer was then driving away, after telling them to get the frick out of the street, he realized they were the suspects in the robbery. If that part of the story falls apart, then he could still be in a little bit of trouble.

In Ferguson, the white dude would not get shot.
I think the police shoot way too many people these days, and they are mostly black people.

Either way it goes it's a fricked up situation. You either have a kid that was bold enough to charge an armed cop in daylight after robbing a store or a cop that felt he had to shoot to kill a robbery suspect.
And what will piss me off to no end is that if all the evidence comes out that it was a criminal charging a cop, there'll be little to no social commentary as to why we've reached that point in society because it's not near as "media sexy" as if a cop unlawfully killed a young man.
It'll just get dropped like a bad habit instead of fixing real issues, especially among the young black community.
