Is there any context for the comments other than a few tweets?
What was Dye asked? What was his full response?
If Dye had said '#5 linebacker for Auburn needs to be benched,' how many of you would be praising him?

Okay, if he said anything negative about Holland how many on here would be defending Jake?
This board lIves to bash Holland. How many of those witty gifs making fun of him end up traveling around the different forums, and maybe even get back to him?
How many would have defended KF or CM if this happens last year?

As a former a coach, you just don't call a current player a coward. Ya don't do it

Depends on what he said.
If he said Holland is a poor tackler, I'd agree with him, but would think it was in slightly poor taste to say so publicly.
If he called him a coward or in some similar way attacked his character rather than his playing ability, I'd be just as upset with him for that as I am now.

Spin it anyway you want...the man attacked the character of a current player and a former player.
Saying someone should be benched or being critical of a player during thier active career is being a former coach talking X's and O's and stragedy.
Calling a former player and current player "cowards" is an attack on those two men's character...plain and simple.

As much as I respect Coach Dye for what he did for Auburn football, and for those of y'all too young to remember it was as big a dumpster fire as the last couple of years, I really wish he would shut the frick up.
To call out two kids as "cowards" is just fricking wrong and there is absolutely no excuse for it.

The only reason I can think of it being somewhat appropriate for him to say this is that he knows something that we don't. That's likely not the case so shame on Pat.

I think it is only fair that Kiehl start the game at UT and be allowed to throw a forward pass to make up for this monumental injustice.
