They are decent in the front 7 but the speed and talent in their secondary is laughably lacking
I think this is our biggest problem. If Oregon breaks through the first wave of defenders they will race all the way to the end zone. I do think our D-Line can hold up well enough to not allow too many big runs.

Btw, Prevot has gotten the most mentions in summer workouts. Word is that he is 240 and big enough for our SAM spot. Love me some aTm flips.

Half us Vol fans are realistic. No way we win this game. Also though is in no way a reflection of Butch Jones coaching ability. I would like to meet Oregon in a bowl game on a neutral field in about 3 years. That way both coaches will have their rosters where they need to be. This year I feel the weird kickoff time for Oregon will compensate for Tennessee's east to west coast traveling lag. Im expecting a score something like 38-21 Oregon. Do I see a way Tennessee wibs yes but only if Ducks mess up reading option and put ball on ground 3-5 times. Turnovers are everyones equalizer.

The idea that there are Tenner fans out there who actually believe they have a legit shot at beating Oregon, is well, laughable.
I think we will get killed by 40 or 50 but I hope not

Bralon Addison, if he isn't weighed down by all that under the table money Oregon gave him, is going to torch UT's secondary.
Colt Lyerla will have a monster game against the vols. I hope we use him as a RB in some series just like last year. 6'5" 250 pound monster whos athletic as hell

I've notice a ton as well, but half of them are legit friendly posters. Youtube has the major vol trolls.

Honestly....52-7 isn't very unrealistic. When Oregon is better, they are WAYYYYY better most of the time than the team they face. They don't slip up and lose to bad teams usually it seems.

52-7 would be nice. Coach Helfrich designed the game plans for every game last year and has learned a TON from Chip Kelly. He say's that the aggressive play calling will stay the same.
I would love to see a competitive game though as long as the ducks win. I like when Autzen is rocking the whole game.

Dude Tennessee fans are very, very delusional every year before the season starts.
A very true statement.
Truth of the matter is UT does have a very good OL. No doubt about the OL, but the over all depth is lacking and no one knows who is going to play QB. It'll be half way close through a quarter and a half. After that, it should be a blow out.
Wish we could play in a few years because this year isn't going to be much of a contest.

Unfortunately, I agree with most of what you said. The defense should be improved statistically because they were so horrible last year and skill positions are a huge question mark.
As for the Oregon game, it will be a blood letting. Any sane Vol fan believes that.
Either way, I am looking forward to some football.

UT will be better defensively do to better Coaching. We were grasping for straws and took the largest, roundest available. Sal was over matched before the ink was dry. Not saying that we will be Bama or even UFs but improved. The offense will be a huge question due to unproven skill players. We have had quality recruiting in WRs and TEs. RBs thats another thread all by itself. If, If Pig Howard can be the play maker we need and the WRs can be better than average, our running game will be serviceable. Not anticipating an SEC East title but I do believe better than most expect.
