247 confirmed today that Sandifer is a Take for SC and UF at this point. So he does have committable offers per those sources. Sandifer is still planning to be at SC this weekend, we'll see what happens. I think we are looking at the possibility of playing Bailey at OT, which would free up that last OG spot we were looking for (possibly for Sandifer.)

I figured SCAR was also off the table (cuz he re-scheduled the announcement)
Last week Tech told him, now or never on the offer or it will go to the next guy in line & no hard feelings..
247 reporting a take for SCAR & UF? that's prolly if plans fall through and they miss on a lineman .. he's in limbo right now & I'm guessing another another team will enter the picture or he will commit to UF or SCAR as a backup plan or to Tech (Sandifer's back-up plan)

fsu 247 contact confirmed with the SC 247 guy that Sandifer is a take for fsu as well.

I thought this too initially, but like CIYE said people are saying Sandifer has a commit-able offer.
Saw a rumor on another board that his friend told him to delay it so he could try and get on TV. I have no clue how credible that is so take it fwiw.

He decides on a school after consecutive trips to GT & UGA(no offer) and before a visit to UF(no offer)... dunno if he canceled the Florida trip? but says he'll be at South Carolin the day of the announcement.. yet... cancels the announcement & now has offers from UF, FSU, & SCAR?
I like Brandon Sandifer... he knows how to play the game.

If I had to guess, I'll say he will end up committing to a 3rd party SEC team not mentioned in this post.. Just guessing

DB Carlton Davis has a Final Four of Ohio St, UF, Miami and SC, all are committable offers. He's going to OSU's friday night lights function this Friday and then coming to The Showcase on Saturday.
Ohio St got in the picture late, they just offered in May
He's now set an announcement for Aug 12th.
This guy has an unreal offer list for a 3*, I would expect him to get a rankings bump next time round. The last time he was rated in February was before Florida, Miami, Alabama, clemson, LSU, Louisville, Georgia, Nebraska, Notre Dame, OH State, Tennessee, and Miss St offered.

Bailey's Saturday plan is up in the air. He told our coaches a while back he was coming here, then he told the taters that he wasn't coming here and going on vacation, then he told 247 this morning that he was going to uga, but then he told PK tonight that he wasn't sure where he's going this weekend....that sounds about right. lol

"I don't mind leaving home," he said. "I think it would be a good opportunity to see different things in the world and experience new things." However, Davis did grow up a Hurricane fan.
Davis has visited Florida and Miami this summer. He has set August 12th for his announcement date and will reveal his choice on a local radio show in South Florida.
As he begins the task of making his decision, Davis said he will weigh several factors from what he's experienced on the various campuses he's visited.
"A great vibe and a good environment," he said. "Playing time and a good environment."
This visit will be his first to USC.

I'd be curious if anyone can figure out the formula 247 uses to calculate the 247 Composite.
Check out this guy who is visiting for the Black Magic Showcase as an example:

He has a 92 rating by the 247 site and ranked the #17 CB, but a .9285 rating and ranked the #24 CB on the Composite. The odd part of this is that only 1 site (247) has him ranked.
So if 247 is the only site that ranks him, how would his ranking on their site (#17) be different than the Composite (#24)?

That is a good question....I've seen prospects from the 2016 class and the 2015 JUCOs (247sports were the first of the online recruiting sites to rate those prospects), where because the only posted rating at the time was 247, the composite was exactly the same as the actual rating. So I don't know why it would be different for Carrier-Williams, if 247Sports truly is the only site that has rated him thus far...

I know exactly what you're talking about with the JUCO ratings/rankings. I asked 247 about it and was basically told that their formula is proprietary and they do not publish the formula for the Composite. They do post the one for their own 247 ratings/rankings, but not for the Composite. (and it's not the same formula, their pulling info from multiple sites for that composite.)
