Well, then replace my sample text with whatever proves it was foul play. I was just grabbing an anecdote.

You absolutely have to dissect that game to discern the difference between an FSU team with Jordan Travis vs. without Jordan Travis. You have to dissect the last two games FSU played... and they were ugly. If you can't see the difference, then your bias is blinding you.

And let's not act like every single team that has ever made the Playoffs and won a Natty hasn't had 1-2 struggle games throughout the season... an almost loss in a rivalry game is better than a loss in a rivalry game (looking at you Texas).

Texas had no impressive wins except for Alabama. None. If it was Baylor instead of Texas we wouldn't be having this discussion. You know it and so does everyone on this site.

Same goes for "SEC Champ". FSU went undefeated and was left out for monetary reasons. Good luck explaining that to the AG and FTC.

I find it hilarious they think ESPN is blindly carrying water for the SEC...there were 6 teams all "deserving" a spot in the final 4 but only 4 can get in. Someone was getting screwed.

All they can see is FSU - 0 losses and Alabama - 1 loss

It's deeper than that. There are CBB teams with better records and worse seeds come March and that has all to do with SOS. Who did you play...who did you beat...this isn't new.

FSU beat LSU, Clemson and Louisville. That's it. None of those wins are over "elite" teams. All of the playoff teams have at least 1 major win. FSU didn't have that.

Alabama's best win was UGA. UGA is better than any other team FSU played all year long. Bama's lone loss was to Texas. Texas is better than any team FSU played all year long.

Reddit is the worst place right now. They all think it's some grand conspiracy and the playoff bracket is just for ratings. If that were true then why did they put TCU in last year? They had the opportunity to put OSU, Mich, UGa, BAMA in the playoffs last year but didn't do it...why would they do that if it's only about ratings?

I find it funny the Florida politicians are getting involved. Demanding answers. The committee is charged with picking the 4 best teams in their opinion. All they have to say is "We thought Bama was better". That's it.

It's because people can't focus on the multitude of criteria at the same time. People get fixated on 0 loss vs. 1 loss. That is one of the many criteria...

bama fans cant keep bragging about beating LSU then. so easy, FSU can do it. amirite?

So FSU's best win by far is Bama's third best? Great argument, barntard.

That's not how it works. Not all schedules are created equal. It's never been that simple. Liberty won all their games. Should they get in?

The ACC being a "P5" conf is irrelevant. Those are just words. the ACC as a football league is terrible.

I can’t believe Herby is still arguing over this with FSU fans when I’m sure he has a couple of games to do coming up during bowl season.

Curious why Vegas buys Texas, then. They don't care about the brand. Do you think this 1-loss Baylor you have in mind would be favored over Washington?

i remember in 2005 he did a 10 day countdown series on the greatest college football teams ever and it ended with USC at #1. They then lost to Vince Young

ESPN had a series that whole year: USC vs some great team of the past and who would win. Was so hilarious they were crowned as the GOAT team by September

FSU’s hardest game being the 5th best team in the SEC is not the point you think it is

Bama's hardest game was against a 6-6 Auburn team that lost by 21 points the week before to NMSU

You guys like leaving out key pieces to the puzzle...Ohio State also beat Wisconsin like 56-0 in their conf title game with their backup. They looked the part. FSU did not.

See the difference?

And why is a UGA fan taking FSU's side? If you guys got in at 12-1 without a conf title you wouldn't say a word.

No idea. WA has won every game as well, but they've been dependent on offense. Their defense is pretty average.

Texas defense is probably the reason for the Vegas line. But WA has defied Vegas all year long ... I hope DeBoer kicks their arse around the stadium.

Couldn't have been that hard if that 6-6 team couldn't cover a 4th and goal from the 31.

Apparently it's popular to group dissimilar situations together...

OSU destroyed Wisconsin and still looked legit.
UGA had Daniels injured form the jump, and Stetson played the whole season and led them to the Playoffs.

But this is identical to Jordan Travis getting injured near the end of the year, and the QB2 and QB3 looking pitiful...
