What I did not understand is why aren't we starting the game like this and forcing teams to sell out to beat Bowers in the 1Q.

You're probably right. He will likely transfer after this season and we will have a year of BVG before 2 years of Raiola.

All I know is that right now, something is missing from this team.

The OL should be better. The offense as a whole should be really good. We should be scoring early way more and not having to do it every game under pressure in the 3rd/4th quarter vs scrub teams. We shouldn’t be saying words like “adequate QB”, and “he made the plays in the 4th quarter” against a team that had more rushing yards from the QB position than passing yards.

Something… ain’t… right. And we all know it.

Because Kirby is hell bent on running the fricking ball even if that means costing his team a game. He needs to let Beck sling it and the rest will be history.

I agree 100%… They were rotating OLine today. Ladd just came back. We seem to be close but for whatever reason, it hasn’t clicked yet. Hopefully it does soon.

WTF?

4 games and he’s got maybe 8 deep pass attempts, of which 6 have been over-thrown or just not anywhere reasonable for the receiver to go get. On top of very clearly not seeing at least 4, maybe 5 wide open potentials that if he did see them and made an accurate pass would have been an easy TD on each.

And you really think Kirby is mistakenly holding him back?!?!!!

Beck threw it 33 times against 28 rushes today. Hoe many times would you like him to "sling it"?

This. Our offense is getting limited possessions because our defense is getting run all over.

Actually, I think Gunner is the guy.

Aside from that, how many missed deep passes and not seeing wide open guys and 1h catches on bad passes and opposing DB’s dropping Int’s is it going to take before some of you stop trying to sell Beck to some of us like used car salesman?

I feel like we’re watching a Biden commercial telling us “the economy has never been better” with this shite.
What you're asking for is a Heisman-contending 3rd or 4th year starter at QB, and that doesn't exist on our team. We have 3 guys with very limited real in-game experience compared to what you seem to want. Our most experienced QB right now is Beck, who is now 5-0 as a starter.

What specifically do you need Beck to do? It was his first start on the road in the SEC and only his 5th start overall and we got the W!

About Beck, he stays on his first read too long. If his timing isnt right, that leads to problems. See the int. See also the incompletion to Bowers in the end zone over the middle in the first half. Can't remember who it was but another WR was wide open to Bowers left who would have walked into the end zone. Also, the throw was late giving the DB time to close. He needs to start hitting the deep passes. Too many open WRs that he just misses.

I hope this is a step forward for him. I agree leading a winning TD drive late in the game in an opposing SEC stadium is a big deal. But overall I give him C for today and the season to date. He ain't failing but he needs to be better if we are going to win against better competition.

I don’t mind if BVG gets some snaps

Beck has some issues, but that is not one of them. At all.

You have to run the ball. It’s how a PA offense works. Our line got beat on some run blitzes, stunts and just general blocks. PA opens up passing lanes. It is scientifically proven. We just need to do a better job blocking.

Bowers bailed him out but part of the blame is on Bobo and that abomination of a first half

That first half would not have been an abomination without the fumbles and the INT. Not Bobos fault. But hate all you want.

It's 2021 all over again. The QB on the bench is their hero.

That and the OL can't open a hole for the RBs.

There are lots of reasons for INTs. Was the WR supposed to turn and sit for the ball? Did the QB throw behind the WR? Did the DB make a great play? I don't know, and I'll bet you don't either.

honestly, our defense looked "slow" today. Getting beat to the outside in footraces a lot. We Didn't play well on either side of the ball.

Either way, ONWARD!

Kirby doesn't run the offense at all.
Defensively we've been good but not dominant.

How much experience as a starter did joe burrow have?
Beck was a 5 star recruit and has played football at UGA for 3 full years. He should be better. We should have better development of our QBs which has been a problem at UGA for many years.
I'd love to see bobo move to QB coach, he's proven to have great success there. But OC bobo isn't it.
