he is never going to win 9+ games for Auburn

Not with Gus calling the plays, but with a better play caller he is good enough to win every game he plays.

And he threw at least one away. Sean threw maybe two inaccurate balls and they were both bombs.

Which were both overthrown, as in too long, no one else going to get for loss of down. Instead of under thrown loss-of-ball type throws. Problem isn't his throws it's when he throws and how long his pro last (ie: he ain't getting the easy package or all that much help from his line). The fix is more about pattern of play calling and other parts of the offense than the trigger on the ball.

I thought White looked impressive last night, but he seemed to be handcuffed whenever Auburn got in the red zone, through no fault of his own. Sure, he overthrew it a couple of times, but if the receivers made some critical catches when he DID hit the bullseye, then we're not even having this discussion right now.

I'm more concerned about him making it through the season...he made several gutsy throws, knowing he'd get crushed after the delivery. If that continues, I'm afraid he's on borrowed time...

I haven't been able to figure out quite what people expect from Sean White

I can get on board with him being a game manager. There still has been nothing to suggest he could be more than that.

Many a National Championship has been won with a "game manager" and a great defense and special teams.

We got all three.

They also had great OL and a passing game that actually was built for game managers

Our defense is good right now and not great.

Yeah well, game managers that won national championships had talent to carry the team. It was their job to get the ball to the talent and not to get in the way. SW needs to be dynamic for our offense to work with all of our inexperienced skill position players.

Our defense is playing well enough for our offense to win some games. All we need is a game mgr at QB. I thought the offense looked good last night. I'm not totally sure as to why they didn't connect in the red zone. I'd like to see a breakdown.

I disagree our running game needs to be dynamic. That would open up alot in the passing game. But a mix of play calling and oline troubles are fricking that up.

You say SW only needs to be a game manager but I struggle to see how we will score consistently with SW merely delivering the goods. He doesn't have receivers like Julio Jones that can by talent alone make themselves open. He has inexperienced and drop-artists for receivers so he may need to "throw them open." He also doesn't have Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson in the backfield either. We have two rather unorthodox running backs.

That is the difference between our game manager and Greg McElroy which won a championship as a game manager. I still think 7 wins is our number because of that.

ESPN has White as 6th in the conference in QBr. He's two tenths of a point behind Jalen Hurts who is commonly regarded as one of the best in the SEC.

I'd like to see us throw a lot more than we are. I'd love to see us ramp it up to 50 attempts per game.

Tony Stephens is why.
He fell down after one catch that could have easily gone the distance.
He let one pass bounce right off his chest in the end
zone for a TD.
He dropped another pass on the 2 yard line for a first down.

So our 2nd year starter whose had 3 years to learn the offense is beyond a true freshman? The only reason he is even in the top half is because he played Arkansas St anyways

Also, who out there exactly regards Jalen Hurts as anything more than a surprise FR QB?

So you clearly want Gus to get fired

When the ball literally bounces off the WRs chest, yes. Its fricking Tony Stephens fault.

Just admit your were wrong about Sean. He's a good Qb. Say it you pussy

He's two tenths of a point away from being a top 5 QB in the SEC. We've played a far more difficult schedule to date than the other guys in the top five with the exception of Kelly.

I'm not sure what more you could ask for from your QB?
