I'm not a baller so I typically don't frequent higher end dining establishments very much. But my gf had a coupon card for Longhorn so we went there for lunch. I got the 6oz Renegade Sirloin cooked about halfway between well and medium well and it was off the charts. 10/10. Also used a tiny bit of Heinz 57 on the side but not too much of course, since I wanted to really savor the steak. I will definitely make a point to start going there more often when I can.

How about y'all, where is the best steak you've had?

He's saying you ruined the steak by over cooking it and using steak sauce and therefore have the palate of a child.

Glad I could help interpret for you

As I said I don't go to many fancy places much. Just wanted to share my good morning.

So back to the other question, where have yall gotten your best steak ever?

If you aren't screwing with me, let me formally invite you to my place for a gameday this year. I guarantee you a better steak than you just had.

Steak people are going to shame you for how cooked it was + the Heinz. Longhorns didn't help

Glad you enjoyed it honestly that's all that matters

I'm not even a steak person, haven't eaten beef in 5+ years. Just your run-of-the-mill food snob, here.

shite...well now I'm legitimately embarrassed. Like for real. I honestly didn't know that was frowned upon.

Well, I'm all about learning opportunities so please help me here so I don't look like an idiot in the future. What kind of sauce should I use, and how done does it need to be?

Best steak I've ever had was at Dierdorf & Hart's in St. Louis MO.

The Obama Recession finally killed that restaurant though.

Holy crap man, that's very generous. I'd love to! I typically don't know until fall what games I'm able to go to, and it's usually maybe 1 or 2 per year. But yeah if you're serious I'd love to take you up on that, thanks so much.

Don't be embarrassed, now I feel like an a-hole. If that's what you prefer, more power to you. Maybe try it mid to mid-rare next time and pass on the sauce. If you don't like it like that, it's not a bad thing. My parents cook the absolute shite out of their steaks and seem to like it.

Keen's in Manhattan is hands down the best steak I've had followed by Pandora's in Grayton Beach.

A steak should always be cooked to "Medium" for optimum flavor. Not "Medium Rare", always "Medium". No sauce, ever. If you need anything other than the seasoning it's cooked with and the flavor of the meat then there's a problem.

For the lame-os like myself, what made it great? Like what differentiates that one from other ones?

can't I get sick from that?

What about A1? I'm not talking about a slathering of sauce like those people on My 600 Pound Life but I like a little flavor enhancer now and then.
