That's one of the reasons you know he was trolling. I don't care if he is a Bama fan or a died in the wool Auburn fan he was trollin da board.

Del Frisco's and Elways has really good steaks by the way.

Bone in ribeye for the motherfricking win at Pandora's.

But best steak I've ever had is either at Bern's in Tampa or Elmo's in Indianapolis.

WTF man?!?! People are assholes on here. The guy liked a steak he had and decided to share it, yet everyone wants to talk down to him as a way to build themselves up. What the hell is wrong with you?

Get over it. If he's offended by what's been said in this thread then he's got bigger issues. I don't know what kind of friends yall have but I know if I said anything remotely close to what OP said I would be hearing shite about it for days and I wouldn't get upset over it.

Exactly. It's like it's 1950 and the guy just left and went to the big city for the first time to try him some of that fancy long horned place and returned to tell everyone. Unless he lives under a fricking rock he knows longhorn isn't a "fancy" rastaurant. Obvious troll job

Anything above medium is wasting a good steak. You might as well go get some pot roast. Rib eye and New York Strip are your typical steaks you get from restaurants. Sirloins aren't terrible, but you won't get the true steak experience. Personally I like a strip medium rare..it has a little less fat than most rib eye steaks.

Next week let's have a review of this:

"For example, on steak and shrimp night, the price is just under $12."

Weird thread all around. Hard to believe someone honestly though Longhorns is a classy establishment but everyone has access to different things I guess

Anyway, some of the best steaks I've ever had, other than the ones I've cooked, were from:

City grille in Montgomery
Also True in Montgomery has a great steak
Bones in Atlanta
Peninsula grill in Charleston
Some place in Vegas I can't remember the name of. Was in the Venetian I believe

Most overrated/overpriced steak I've ever had:

I, too had a great steak this weekend. But it was a NY Strip from Fresh Market with just some coarse sea salt on it, 2 minutes a side on a 600 degree big green egg. It melted in my mouth. It was a little rare for the Mrs, but she knew better than to complain. (just kidding)

Never been in a Fresh Market, I usually get steak from winn-dixie.
