2009 and 2011 teams were both meaningfully better than 2015 team
You must be trolling if you think our 2011 dumpster fire was meaningfully better than our 2015 team. 2011 had FOUR losses by 20+ points and a 14pt loss to Clemson
2009 vs 2015 stacks up somehat similarly not even close to "meaningfully better"
2009: Loss to Kentucky, TWO 20+ point losses, closs losses to Alabama & (8-5) UGA
2015: One 20+ point loss, four losses 8 points or less, somewhat closs loss to Alabama w/o garbage TD

2011 included a narrow win against Utah State, a bad MSU team, a 2-10 Ole Miss team, a bad Florida team, and a decent Virginia team.
They did get a good win against South Carolina.
They also had blowout losses to Clemson, Arkansas, LSU, UGA, and Bama. Games weren't even close.
You might have a case for 2009. Those results were better than I remember. LSU game sticks out to me that year for some reason.
2015 we were pretty competitive in every game even though the division is a lot tougher now.

The 2009 team took people by surprise as the HUNH & Gus' spread style was an unknown up to that point. If that team played our 2015 schedule, they would be lucky to make a bowl game

Well we were at the bottom this past season. Seriously, dead last in the West. We were right there with South Carolina.

Don't forget an OT win vs Jacksonville St....

Probably more accurate to say trending toward the bottom of the SEC West.

Not happening - we're going to crush it next year. Get the nega out of here

We're already at the bottom of the SEC West.
No trending needed.

Sorry...I have to disagree.
2015 was also meaningfully worse than 2011
2015 was a much easier schedule than 2011 with Georgia at Jordan Hare and the fact that the 2011 team had to play 6 teams ranked in the top 15.
But just 4 - 4 SEC record alone in 2011 puts that team in a different category than last year's 2 - 6 team. Then add that in 2011 we went to a somewhat respectable bowl against an ACC school. Not close for me.

2-9 in the last 11 SEC games.... Birmingham Bowl....

I'm beginning to think that you're legitimately retarded.

Please explain the logic that a 6 point loss to the #2 ranked team in the country is a suggestion that Auburn is trending downward.

Can some of you folks turn the page and move on?
Gus either fixes it or gets canned. We likely held Clemson to a regular season low in points this year and that loss in no way harms our season as a whole. Save your melts for SEC play.

Actually it is not obvious. It's just Luke's emotions running amok again.
