I totally disagree. I think he was handicapped from the start. frick it, though.

I thought he was handcuffed against Mississippi State. But then SJSU happened and I realized that playcalling is probably a direct result of what White is capable of.

SW's adjsuted QBR

State: 43.8
SJSU: 29

JJ's adjusted QBR

UL 61.0
JSU 29.3
LSU 56

Maybe so, I just don't think we really have the information to make that call.

What White is capable of is irrelevant really because the staff, for reasons unknown to us, aren't going to let him test his potential in a game. They're doing this because they want Auburn to lose or because White can't do more. I'll let you guys debate over which one of those reasons you like best

JJ beat White in the spring and fall and looks to have had better practices than White the past week and a half. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about White as our QB this year then I don't know what more I can say

Maybe Sean just doesn't know the playbook well enough to run the offense at a high level. Did anyone see Gus' playbook from Tulsa that got posted? It looked pretty complicated. I don't care who starts as long as the coaches open it up and get a little creative again.

Agreed.

I definitely understand your reasoning. I just feel like White has the mental tools and enough of the physical tools to be a really good QB. Maybe he just doesn't have the full grasp of the playbook.. maybe the coaches are just Whitesiah infidels. I don't know. Beer will help.

Disagree an numerous points. Brandon Cox didn't have much velocity, but was accurate. Also, since the season is basically a wash at this point why not take advantage of SW youth a build him up the rest of the season, going into his sophomore, junior, and senior season? He could be a stud. He's made very few mistakes. Hardly any.

The words "complicated" and "Gus' offense" should not be ever mentioned together this year.

I fricking swear if we run the fricking fake reverse tilt a whirl tonight I will stroke out.

SW's goal line interception against MSU was practically the difference in the game

Agreed this year. It's definitely a dumbed down version.

Disagree, we were in the red zone 3 other times that game including a missed field goal. The play calling in the red zone was horrendous. They were running sweeps and rollout a instead of up the middle. Sure the QB needs to execute but the play calling is the key.

I don't think SW got a fair chance, Gus hand cuffed SW with play calling. Gus should cut him loose for at least 4 drives to get a temperature of what he could do in a live game situation.

17 - 9 = 8

6 + 2 = 8

ETA: My only point here is that he's not quite the perfect, mistake free football player everyone here is making him out to be. It just so happens that him being handcuffed + him making a mistake = automatic loss when atleast JJ can win a game when he's making several mistakes because he can play the whole offense.

White's potential is meaningless when the coaches aren't letting him reach it. White in at QB at his current involvement level prevents us from winning games. It's so simple, guys

You guys have so much PTSD from JJ's interceptions that White's (almost) mistake free small ball football looks good

I'm not trolling Look a the QBR numbers.

White isn't going to get less handcuffed. They had him on training wheels against SJSU. What do you think they're going to do against the SEC schedule we have left?

8 of 18 plays were something other than a run up the gut. 44%. Do you have the 4th down yardage needed for 1st down on the FG attempt?

some of you will be sending Gus death threats after JJ's first interception.

Amirite?
