New OC?

We won't be making a major offensive scheme change like 2012... and the talent on defense up front and in the secondary will keep us competitive.

If we didn't collapse in 2015 I doubt we do it 2016... considering the hype isn't going to be there.

It was correct as is. You don't need to edit anything.

Agree. I hate to take the 'it can't get worse' angle, but that is true. Schedule is a little bit tougher, but I can't imagine QB play (our biggest weakness last year) can't get better.

You think we're going 5-7 next season which is only 2 wins better than 2012. I don't see how you can differentiate yourself from me.

I just look at your posting and it is quite easy to come to my conclusion. It has nothing to do with a football record.

But I will indulge.
It's interesting because other schools have made major changes and you have them beating us.

If 5-7 isn't better than 3-9 than I know you are either a leghumper or a Bama fan. Way to give yourself away by not knowing math. Gus puts in a QB that can run and we win no less than 8.

But I'm ready for the same schtick from the same complainers again this time.

I like Hand, he seems like a great recruiter and I don't think there will be a huge dropoff. I'm allowed to be upset with losing a great OL coach in Grimes though.

Since Grimes' health issues started, a lot of people speculated he would either step down or lose effectiveness in an on field + recruiting coach role. Could be that we were offering him an "analyst" role to take some off his plate in a gesture of good will not "demotion"

being relatively lacking on talent across the field.

It ain't the end all be all metric by any means but we are are ranked 8th in raw talent in the nation. The problem is, & has been since 2009, developing talent consistently.

Given next year's schedule that may not be a bad thing.

I would be ok with a one game improvement, but would prefer at least two.

If it is a one game improvement, it needs to be Alabama or Georgia imo.

And I seriously laugh at anyone thinking this will be like 2012. Does anyone really believe we will go winless in conference?

Programs change assistant coaches all the time, why do we have to assume things will go to hell?

Do you think the OLine will suddenly forget how to block?

Do you think the defense could get worse? I mean let's be honest, we were making progress but the stats still show the D is bad.

Do you really think our qb situation will be worse?

Some people need to step back from the ledge.

We were 6-6 when we were predicted to be a playoff team. We basically lost to Jacksonville State but just somehow pulled it out at that end. At home.

We only won 2 SEC games. Which one was Kentucky

We collapsed bro.

What is brannigan gonna do if Auburn exceeds expectations and wins 9-10 games next year. Wow he won't have anything to bitch and complain about. Is he even a fan of Auburn with all his negativity. Look at his post all negative. Look bro if you can't handle the good with the bad then shut the frick up and put your big boy pantys on. If Auburn makes you feel that bad then your not a true fan. Rant over

We've got TAMU and Vandy at home. Both of those teams are mere shadows of their 2012 counterparts.

As I've pointed out previously, on three separate occasions we were within a single play of beating Arky on the road this past season, with one of the most productive QB/TB tandems in their history, neither of whom will be back when the Pigs visit J-H in '16. That is a very winnable game this coming year, as well as a Dak-less MSU in Starkville.

I concur with the opinion that 2015 would have been the year for us to melt down completely, 2012-like. The fact that we didn't gives me at least minimal cause for hope going forward.

I reserve the right to abandon all hope if we get blown out by Clemson, get taken to O/T by Arky State, then lose to TAMU though.

Agree. Improvement in our record is a must, not much, but needs to be against a top SEC team like Alabama, GA or LSU...

Since when did 2012 become the ruler for "collapsing". Just because we did not have our worst season in a billion years does not mean we didnt collapse.

We were the biggest underachiever in the SEC this season. We collapsed.

It has been the ruler in this particular discussion for nearly a page. In general you are correct on collapsing. That's just not the context of the current discussion.
