Sounds like we are going to have another OL coach for next year. Seems to be more along the lines of him being told to look. Will be interesting to see who we hire.

Where are you seeing this?

If so, this is stupid. I don't understand the hate he gets. Our O line has been great while he's been here.

It's from football scoop and Marcello is running it too. We don't lose coaches to schools like Cincinnati for the same position and less pay so he has to have been told to look around for whatever reason.

He's had health issues so it might be a choice for him to get to a bigger city with better medical responsiveness

No idea why either, OL play has been pretty solid. Could be something deeper like his health, but I don't know why going to Cincy would help something like that, unless he has family there or is from there. Herb Hand is a name to watch to replace him. He is currently at PSU.

Edit: Apparently his son is a GA at Cincinnati

Footballscoop isn't reliable at all.

Marcello is but he hasn't said its happening for sure.

Would suck to lose Grimes. Hand wouldn't be bad though

Grimes doesn't get hate. Most Auburn fans respect him I would think. And he can probably still kick all of our asses at his old age. I just hope we are still good with Calvin Ashley.

OL is the only unit that has improved since Gus has arrived. Grimes is our best coach. But he has some below average talent to work with.

We have heard rumors of tension b/w Grimes and Yes Man Lashlee. Wonder idmf this has anything to do with that.

That is what happens when your coach is paranoid.

I hate to agree with Brannigan but Grimes is our best coach

If Gus is forcing him out, I have no idea what the frick he's doing. I guess trying to bring in yet another recruiter

If Gus isn't forcing him out, what does that say about Auburn right now that he's trying to get out?

It's obvious. He has no previous ties to auburn. He needs to go.

Why would we tell the one position coach worth a damn on the whole staff to look around?

What type relationship did Malzahn have with the other Grimes that was here and is now at LSU? The corndogs have been claiming that he is leaving LSU.

Same reason we hired Steele. Because we do stupid things.
