Bad year to be looking for a coach. Lots of other programs will be sniffing around.
thats the case every year.

Justin Fuente would be high on my list... but I doubt he could be pulled away from VT. Mike Norvell at Memphis might be an option, but he's got Malzahn ties. Scott Frost... he did a nice job at UCF last year.
I'd also look at successful P5 coordinators.

I say we look at Neal Brown down in Troy! Guy is tough and just calls it like it is and hates losing. He could be a great coach for Auburn if he keeps trending up.

Dan Mullen- the dude would win here. I would be all in on that.

Rumor is he has a second family. Also, no to Brown at Troy.

Oh yeah, lets hire the guy who personally tried to sabotage our 2010 season and pay him millions of dollars.

Who?... Fuente?
What's the issue with Brown?... he checks several boxes for me... young, offensive minded, knows the state, experience both as a coordinator and head coach.

If he wins, why the F not?

Yes. Fuente. And Brown is 37. How do you think a 37 year old guy would do vs the SEC west? If we were to hire a new coach, let's start by having a baseline experience of a winning record in a P5 conference.

Because there are options just as good as that frickwad, so why the F why?
And if he's so goddam awesome, why is he still in Starkville for the 9th season?
Let him rot there.

I have a feeling Lincoln Riley is going to do just fine. He's 33.

Good question

Well, yeah. He was OC at OU, and was experienced in that league. Brown hasn't done anything that warrants him a job in the SEC west.

The little I have read on DM; there are concerns with NCAA issues.

I just dont believe we are going to get rid of Gus. I really hope he gets fired sooner than later. Still so fricking mad about Saturday.

And why would any sane person want to give that little frickwad of a hunchback the opportunity to spit in Auburn's face again by allowing him to play the act and ultimately say no?
Because I can almost guarantee that's how it would go. And imagine how much he'd be worshiped in Starkville after THAT.
