Yep. And then Norman offered to sign it. Don't act like Norman, a homegrown man, never wanted to sign it.

Know how I know how what you say isn't true?

Because Norman never signed it.

If he had "wanted" to sign it, I'm kinda guessing HE WOULD HAVE SIGNED IT.

He offered to sign it before he knew that the Panthers moved on. Which puts Gettleman as the primary reason for why Norman isn't here today. Why would Gettleman justify that he doesn't like to pay rental players for a year if he wasn't the party responsible for terminating the negotiations? God forbid that Norman tried to be paid what he felt was worth to the team and then work down from there.

Please advise: extract head from arse and fix. Players don't get to sign where they want to play all the time.

Wrong.

He offered to sign it AFTER the Panther's had moved on. That's what the "rescinding" part was... the Panther's moving on.

Everything after that was just Norman's team doing PR.

"Norman was caught off guard when George informed him the tag had been rescinded. Norman was already in the process of signing a new agent, Ryan Williams, Norman said he asked Williams call the Panthers to see if something could be worked out, but by that time the Panthers had filed the tag paperwork with the league and decided to move on"

Doesn't sound like he knew that Gettleman had already moved on. But I get it. You're going to defend Gettleman no matter what you hear.

"Norman said... "

"Norman said... "

Like I said, rehabilitative PR.

But, to put it in your style, "You're going to defend Norman no matter that he never signed the franchise tag that had been available to him for MONTHS."

And there was plenty of time left to negotiate so this is a moot point on top of more fallacious logic. I'm not defending Norman. I don't have to. He has the last laugh as his play has been exceptional in a position of our need. Gettleman is the one that made our secondary a laughing stock this year. Maybe Robert McClain coming back will make our defense better. Hint) Ha!!! Please hold your breath.

Jarraud Powers just figured out how hard it is to sack Big Ben. He literally flipped over him before he eventually tackled him by his shoestrings.

Sammie Coates with a drop in the end zone.

He should've been a DB from the start

I clearly remember reading scouting recruits when he was in HS talking about how much better he was at DB and how he had elite natural hips, like some sort of large jungle cat, a puma maybe.

Oh yeah, Karlos Dansby had 9 tackles on Sunday. Pretty meh week for the rest of our pros
