Damn, that kid's tape. First three plays just damn
No idea the competition level, but kid plays fearless. Seems like a great worker, first in/last out, real leader int he locker room.

That hit on the 3rd play is ridiculous

What really jumped out to me was his deceptive speed. That and his extremely high motor

All these 3* guys. I admit I don't follow crootin very close, especially at this point in a cycle. Will alot of these guys get bumped up to 4* depending on the camps/season? Are they rated lower because they're juniors?
It always blows my mind why they don't offer every single 5* (based on need of course). Make the best players say no imo.

Yea, really just seems to never take a play off. Real coach on the field.

Ratings will change all over the place for lots of these guys. Some will fall down the charts and others will jump up. I wouldn't worry too much just yet about the stars. Most of these sites wait till the summer when they can see them in camps before really evaluating em. Also AU has plenty of current 4* guys on the table: Justyn Ross, Jacob Copeland, Tank Jenkins, D'Andre Litaker, Matthew Hill and Myles Sims are all 4* guys that AU is very much in the hunt for along with many others

We have offered 13 of the current 28 5*s according to 247. There's a chance we have offered more it just hasn't been reported. If a kid is a 5* in the southeast you can feel pretty certain AU has offered
It is interesting the number of unrated guys AU seems to be pushing for usually kids have some sort of rating. Shows staff is doing their own evaluations and jumping on some kids that might have been flying under the radar. Or at least that's how I choose to view it

Thanks. I did go back and see alot of 4* on your spreadsheet. And the NR guys was interesting as well. Not sure if doing their own evaluations is a good thing or not. But on the other hand some highly ranked guys the staff loved have flopped bigly too. So who knows.

4* OT Nana Asiedu released a top 10 today on Twitter that included AU. He seems like a Clemson lock right now tho

He's got a lot of intangibles that you can't teach

Gritty, hardworker, he will turn the lights out and lock the gym when he leaves last every night.

Harold Joiner is a guy that I think will end up a high 4* if he attends camps and thing like that in the summer. Freak athlete for a guy his size. Could end up a DE or a running back. I want that dude at RB bad.

KN had VIP update on 4* S Myles Sims yesterday. He was one of the first juniors we called on NSD after all the faxes came in. Garner is his area recruiter and he spoke with him for a bit. He has 34 offers but his first one was from AU. Sounds like though McGriff was a big draw for him and he doesn't really have a relationship with Brown right now. He is excited about meeting Brown hopefully soon. It sounds like we were his leaders at one point but now have some work to do especially since communication has dropped off since McGriff left. I imagine that changes soon

How Auburn plans to use 5-foot-5 Shaun Shivers in its offense (AL.com)
quote:
Shivers said the departure of former offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee, who left for Connecticut last month, didn't affect him because he "wasn't committed to a coach, I was committed to a program." He continues to be recruited by LSU, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin and holds more than 20 total offers, including Baylor, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, Mississippi State, South Carolina, TCU and Utah.
Despite the outside interest, Shivers remains solidly committed to Auburn and has lots of love for the program.
"The atmosphere, the program, the coaching staff, I love how they do things here," he said. "It's just the best place that fits me. Everything's on campus, the environment really know where to go. Be home, stay out of trouble and just be chill at be happy.
"I love this place. I love it to death. I just love everything about it."

National Signing Day 2017 Wrap: SEC (Rivals)
quote:

The Good: The two in-state linebackers in this class could be special. Both K.J. Britt and Tadarian Moultry had incredible closes to their high school careers and looked impressive during All-Star season. Landing four of the top 10 prospects in Alabama is impressive for a program going head-to-head with a dynasty. And that’s not to mention the Tigers’ highest-rated commit, offensive lineman Calvin Ashley.
The Bad: Auburn’s cycle wasn’t without its misses. The Tigers were never a player for the state’s top prospect in LaBryan Ray. The Tigers also saw defensive end Ryan Johnson pass on them in favor of Stanford.

What's the deal with Armor-Davis? Bama not interested in him or vice versa? Either way need some good CBs so I hope we get him.

Not sure where he is on their board. I know they were hoping to get him to their junior day 2 weekends ago but he went to AU because we offered first. It's weird usually top ranked instate CBs start off as basic locks for Bama so it's good to see that we at least have a fighting chance right now. There is a TON of elite CB talent in this cycle though so it might be more of them going after some national guys. I will take it tho
