Neither of those things can be credited to Fountain.

Yeah and I want Brees at QB and Foster at runningback.

Dont be dumb. He pops in my brain first because I played against him in HS and I dont have time to follow the pro game deployed. Was referring to a versatile TE that can play in the middle of the field and isnt afraid to block. Theres plenty in NCAAF and NFL. 'Oh yeah we should just recruit a Revis next year at CB too LOLOL', frick off.

If we had a TE who played 25% of the ability of the worst TE in the NFL it would be an improvement. I think it would add a great wrinkle to Gus O but it is not meant to be. Tommy fricking Trott caught more passes than our current ones do.

How did you neutralize Gronk?

j/k, I agree we need a Lutz or a more prototypical TE. It would help in Red Zone for sure.

I have actually thought that with time, Sean White could develop into a Brees like QB. He really impressed Trent Dilfer at the elite 11 camp.

I also will say, if becomes a fraction as good as Brees it would help us.

With big receivers like Duke Williams (6'2), Ricardo Louis (6'2) and Melvin Ray (6'3), big running backs like Peyton Barber (225 pounds) and Jovon Robinson (230 pounds) and a solid run blocking offensive line, it's amazing that we have struggled so much.

Landon Rice is a beast. Too bad we won't use him in the offense

What the hell is going on with Jovon?

Is he really hurt, is he in the doghouse, what?

I find it baffling he has gotten so few snaps.

I think both were the case at one point, but now Barber has taken over and they're basically the same back. Same build, same running style. Kerryon is super versatile, and Roc is a potential home run hitter. There's just not carries left for him. Unless somebody gets hurt I doubt we see much of Jovon this season.

I feel like Javon would have seen the huge hole at the goal line. I hope he starts getting more snaps.

Twin bro of Jovon. Supposed to be a badass. Haven't seen him all year.

Not recruiting, but my buddy shared the following w/ me:

---Basically RL thinks this is his offense. He is calling plays, so everyone is saying. DC thinks this offense has become "predictable". DC wants to add a little input to what DC thinks will help out. Stuff he has learned while at FSU and other top programs. Grimes agrees. RL does not want any input or think he needs any input. So here we are. An offense that is not good.

Add to the fact that RL sucks at recruiting and is an ok QB coach. So now we will see what Gus will do.

The one I hate it for is Bentley. Gus may have to go outside of the program and get a top flight OC/QB coach to appease the masses. Unless Gus gets rid of more dead waste like SF & gets Bentley on the field. I really do think Bentley is a great offensive coach. AU needs a top flight QB coach & DC isn't it. Gus is not a QB coach at all. X & O coach.

I don't want to sound all doom and gloom as I think all of this can be fixed. I just don't know if Gus has it in him to fix it. He has become, no matter what his public persona is like, a very arrogant coach. He just thought he could line up against anyone and out wit them. Not the case as we can see from the 5 consecutive SEC loses. ---

I think we kinda knew most of that, but this just confirms what I was thinking anyway. You can't have Co-Anything in a competitive sport like Football. Especially when one has much more experience under multiple HC's, as well as having actually played SEC/NFL football. While the other has been all Gus.

Hopefully he loses his arrogance and comes back down to earth. I don't see him ever getting rid of RL.

My roommate is helping coach at a private school in Montgomery and said almost all of Auburn's coaches are cool to hang out with outside of football, except Rhett Lashlee. Said he was a douche. The staff visits sometimes, especially Lance Thompson.

I've heard similar things about Rhett Lashlee and shared them on the board. Lashlee was the one who continually was spoken of negatively

According to Jay Tate, there is a very legitimate argument that if we were to fire Gus today his buyout could be $20-24million . He asked a lawyer he knows to look at the contract and supposedly what is guaranteed in the contract is very very vague

Looks like we are stuck on the GusBus and the doors are locked. Hopefully the engine turns back on
