that makes sense. You should’ve led with that

Folks, College football is OVER. I mean literally over. Three of our players have been offered double what we have been paying them this season.

At what point does this end? In what world did we ever think a college football player would be paid a million bucks a year to represent the Arkansas Razorbacks.

It is the wild, wild west out there and we are left with a pea shooter... fighting bazookas. Unbelievable!

If NIL isn't going to be regulated, then we have no chance in outbidding other SEC programs that have more resources (money).

we can’t compete with ole miss, Mississippi state, Missouri, auburn, South Carolina, kentucky, etc. in resources? I mean I understand the Aggies have a lot of money but how much money does LSU really have? Can’t be that much more than us.

The Grove has raised over 10 mil through their collective.

There's a shite ton of oil money in Louisiana. Don't fool yourself into thinking we can compete with that at the moment.

Until the NCAA puts some type of salary cap on nil monies we'll continue to lose.

but but but muh Walmart!!! muh Tyson!!! muh muh muh Hunts!!

You mean to tell me all the NWA people aren't rich and selling out every game and donating enough to keep up with the SEC!? I was told that all the money was up there and everything would be better once all games were on campus.

Weird

I feel like at some point they are going to have to put some terms to these deals to protect schools.

How are the schools not being protected? Not a dollar is coming from them, it’s all between a booster and player.

For instance Pooh should be on a 3 yr 250k deal last year. The only way he can be released from the deal is if he leaves for the NFL.

The good ones are on lifetime deals as long as they stay at the university. Ends as soon as they transfer.

But the rules say the deals can’t be tied to them playing, stats or even where they go to school.

I do believe the changes will be a salary cap style movement, same way they nerfed Alabama by only allowing 85 scholarship players back in the day.

But who is to say what a players value brings in a commercial? Would you turn down a 350K a year to be in a hearing and cooling ad for Auburn? I love Arkansas but never get between a man and his meal.

The short answer, GOBN is attempting to run a farce of a collective through the RF.

Caston and Varady ( a Jeff Long yes man) don't have a clue. I have zero faith in this "outside company " either.

Go take a peek at The Grove website and then look at One Arkansas NIL

Their run of the mill average fans are donating to collectives. Ours are bitching about the Waltons, Tysons, and Hunts not giving enough.

Their schools are facilitating the collectives. HY and Arkansas are fighting against it as they see it as that's money that should be going to them to do with what they please.

We are talking about donations to small to matter to the foundation adding up in the collectives elsewhere. It isn't
5or 10 people dropping millions but millions dropping 5 or 10 dollars here or there. Group funding by the little fans.

It's fine though because we are focusing on Basketball and Baseball and they are throwing everything into Football.

Baseball Natties

OM- 1
Miss St- 1

Arkansas-0

Meanwhile OM is making a "frick the optics, I want to win" hire in Beard and will be on our level in the two sports we are "funneling all our money to". Miss St. is ranked right around us too right now.

Can't even put lipstick on this pig. We don't care and have been passed by the schools we are "superior" to.

I’ve been saying this for a while, but at some point people are going to start realizing that Yurachek is completely full of shite.

Remember his comments about us being “on the cutting edge” of NIL with our approach?

Remember his comments about how he was going to be at the forefront of a whole new approach to coaching contracts and buyouts?

Remember his comments about how coaches should be fired ‘for cause’ for losing (in accordance with the above)?

Remember when he was completely AWOL and silent for 2 years during the Morris era, and then front and center in every Hogs+ clip the moment we started winning under Pittman?

Basketball NIL is different from football, you don't hear bitching because Muss knows how to handle it. It's different when you are competing with the NBA and MLB vs other SEC teams as well. Lost of little dick energy in CFB booster ranks.

Coincidentally I've only seen Jwill used in advertising while he was here, but I haven't gone out of the way to look for it either.

where do I go to donate? Hell even my broke arse could throw a couple Hundo on it. I don’t think they’re allowing that though are they? Or at least not promoting it

The difference between here and LSU is that wealthy business owners in south Louisiana are massive, DIEHARD LSU fans. I'm talking about being excited and having family over for LSU WOMENS sports. Completely different culture than AR wealthy business owners.
