I'm kinda glad. It's bittersweet but honestly, I'm not sure he would have been able to grasp Petrino's offense easily.

I think this is what most fans agree on. He couldn’t read an Enos offense. No way he can run a Petrino offense. Tbh if he comes back I think it does more harm than good. He’s obviously Qb1 still if he comes back. But it’s likely he gets benched if he can’t grasp the Petrino offense, which he most likely won’t be able to.

but figured Miss State had to be the choice.

I honestly thought this is where he would be best utilized, and wanting to play for Loggains makes no sense. More power to him though.

Not being in the same division as Arkansas may have played into his decision

Maybe it's intentional so he doesn't have to play us.

I imagine he’s just wanting to make the announcement but I don’t think there’s any belief that he’s actually staying.

These rich transplants care not for any sports.

Unless it deals with bicycles.

My thoughts as well. We all know he’s gone. We’ve been saying it for a couple months now. Definitely wants to be the one to announce it.

But what I heard is that their money goes to basketball, not football.

Bobby Petrino to Pete Thamel on his return to Arkansas:

This ultimately may just be a greedy move to make the most money off a fanbase that had quit on the program by preying on their sentimental attachment to the success of the past, but I don't give a damn. It's working. I want him to win so damn bad.

It's what it is.

There isn't a recruit or OC out there that could have been hired to give this amount of optimism and momentum going forward after this season.

Didn't expect HY to give out 2 year free passes, but here we are.

Flip Crutchfield, keep the incoming class intact and pay dirt the portal with $$$ and BP type of guys, I think we’re in business.

Literally all that needs to happen next year is play an exciting brand of football that wins 6-8 games, don’t get blown out by the lower half of the conference and fans will be pretty happy.

As much as 2022 frustrated everyone, it was still fun to watch and we thought we had a chance every week.

If we can’t do that with BP, we’re FUBAR anyway.

It's a genius move given the fact we literally have NOTHING to lose at this point.

Agree. It was genius and it’s a win/win bc even if Petrino “fails” or we do as a team, whatever - there will be more asses in seats, more donations, some semblance of hope for most fans going into next year and Pittman’s buyout drops significantly once he goes under his mark and we can go on the hunt. Look at what aTm just did - fired Jimbo Fisher for $76mil to then hire a HC with 2 years of HC experience. Im all about us dumping aTm money into NIL, but they came out of this looking really stupid from a business since in terms of their willing candidate pool sucking for what they were expecting to get. After digesting everything throughout the day yesterday and then seeing the announcement, I felt like this toward Yuracek:

KJ can make bank on the NIL open market. Some team is going to overpay like crazy for him.

If KJ stays, it should be to work on the position he will play in the pros, tight end.

Otherwise I’d take my last big pay day on the road and cash in. Saying top quarterbacks get 1-2M in open market off transfer portal this year.

Everyone is saying Rocket and KJs lockers have been cleared our for days.

KJ likely just blew smoke yesterday so he could go to the Duke game without any problems from the crowd.

Apparenlty Pittman also said last night that they needed a portal QB.

He's gone. He just hasn't announced it his way yet.

You'd have to belive he either goes to Scar or Miss State.

KJs chance of playing TE in the NFL is 0%.

He might not score in the top quartile in any combine metric.
