Meh. He and Jefferson would be no surprise if they headed to Mississippi State to play for Lebby. It would be a smart move for both of them.

Both were underwhelming this year and didn't add any value in the w/l column, although I do appreciate their hard work they put in for the Arkansas program.

State, with both of them, will probably trounce us next year with KJ playing the game of his life and Rocket running for 150 yards, but it's just like the favor Ty Storey handed us in finally cleansing this program. Bittersweet.

Well at least we’d have some hope with a new coach. Instead we’ll have the same shitty coach and even shittier players. Yay

I have it on good authority that the players all clapped when it was announced Pittman was staying, so I’m gonna need a real source on this. KTHANKSBYE

This is another of the many reasons we should've made a move on a new HC this season instead of next - we have a lot of great individual pieces, SEC experienced players that would make a decent sell to a new coach not wanting to step in to a total rebuild right off the bat

A new coach could've potentially walked into KJ, Rocket, Hasz, Teslaa, Armstrong, Augustave, Criswell, Singleton, Sategna, etc - lots of seasoned and proven offensive talent. Same with Braxton, Paul, McAdoo, etc on the defensive side. There are good pieces to work with all the way around, but those pieces probably won't hang around with a lame duck coach and a 4-8 record lingering.

We're going to get absolutely gutted and it'll make the job the next coach has that much harder, instead of having all these quality pieces laying around for a new coach to begin his tenure with momentum.

I mean, didn't we expect this though? Regardless of coach (Fire Pittman) we would have this happening all around man!

It is the $$$ game now, nothing else matters!

Arkansas has zero momentum and it will go the other way.

You have a higher percentage of players staying put with a new coach than keeping one that will be fired next year.

It seems that Paul wants to be on a defense that is part of a winning program.

Apparently Pitt's offering half of other SEC schools for NIL to the same players.

His favs are getting raises tho...

Sam is going to leave Arkansas in the same place he found it.

Worse actually, the next guy will have to find his own 3 year starter QB and NFL caliber receivers.

what if I told you that Pooh was offered 350 grand elsewhere and we offered less thant 200 to keep him.

Now, what If I told you that a QB like KJ got just a tad under 1 mil last season at Arkansas... And him leaving frees up some cash...

Folks, College football is OVER. I mean literally over. Three of our players have been offered double what we have been paying them this season.

At what point does this end? In what world did we ever think a college football player would be paid a million bucks a year to represent the Arkansas Razorbacks.

It is the wild, wild west out there and we are left with a pea shooter... fighting bazookas. Unbelievable!

I agree with the sentiment but we pay our head coach $6.5 million/year and he had 74 less tackles than Paul had this season.

who cares? This is the new world. The market is what others are willing to pay and obviously others want to win. If we want to run with the big dogs you gotta open up the pocketbook. Don’t bitch about lsu, alabama, and A&M spending more money. Spend with them. If Mississippi state and ole miss can do it somehow I’m sure arkansas could find a way if they really wanted too

Pay the players what it takes to keep the ones that are worth it and stop paying inept coaches millions.

no shite. It made sense to pay coaches multi millions when they did the recruiting. Now it’s the money that talks. Go find a coach that’ll take 2 million and an incentive heavy contract and tell him the rest of the money he would’ve got is going to go to nil and allow him to pick the best players he can find that money will buy.

I’m befuddled by how many people are caught off guard by this. 100k people paying hundreds of dollars to watch a football game every Saturday and you didn’t think star players would be worth a nice chunk of money?

Anyone with a functioning brain could see this coming the day that they changed the law regarding NIL.
