Because I'm not a delusional homer that has only lived in Arkansas and thinks NWA is the pinnacle of cultured living.

You need to get out more. Everyone does.

NWA is nice, but so are 50 other college towns in America where you can make 2 million dollars a year.

Chad Morris is Texas through and through, you think arse backwards, identity crisis, midwestern NWA is that appealing to him?

I say this as a Purple Dog mind you.

yup, there's only like 3 coaches we can choose from in the whole wide world of college football coaches, must get the redzone retard as his team's fans call him.

I never said anything about Morris

But you're just guessing like everyone else here, so don't act like you realize something the rest of us don't

I'd be fine with Gus, but acting like he's the only decent option out there 2 months before Bret is even fired is silly.

Apparently I have.

NWA and Arkansas aren't that attractive of a coaching destination.

This isn't Madden, it's the real world and I know what we are and I know what we aren't.

Our fans should try it sometime.

Our last two full-time hires were bigger names on the national stage than most SEC schools have been able to bring in.

I'm not sure how you hold this view on coaches but expect us to recruit top 20 consistently. If NW Arkansas isn't a good destination to bring in a grown man and pay him millions of dollars, why would a young black male want to come here and play for free?

Okay I take back what I said. You're a real genius man. I wish I could have as much insight into college football as you do. I'm impressed

End of the day it doesn't make a difference.

Throwing around every name in the book doesn't change the fact the decisions is totally and completely out of our hands.

I think we all know that and discussion is fun I suppose but getting hopes up for extremely unlikely candidates doesn't serve any purpose either.

I think if you can get Gus, you do.

21 wins in 2 seasons isn't evidence?

Only difference in Petrino's best season and Nutt's best season was a bowl win. And Nutt actually won the West that year.

I fully expect it to be out of left-field anyway.

Exactly, same thing applies to him talking shite about the other hires being up and comers but they wouldn't come here anyway. He wants to have it both ways.

Gus would be one of my last resort candidates.

We can get a better coach.

Do you think Nutt was on par with Petrino as a football coach?

That's not the discussion. We were talking about evidence this century that we can do better at Arkansas than what we had with Nutt or what we potentially have with Malzahn. I was just showing how Nutt and Petrino were on par at Arkansas, and you could argue that Nutt actually had more success here.

ETA- apparently Leach's comments about WMS weren't the first compliments he's made regarding Arkansas/UA, not sure if he meant in a private or public setting.

Hiring Gus would be the functional equivalent of hiring Kevin Sumlin.
