Competent HCs are less likely to move around in basketball because the post season format doesn't rely on brand and recognition to achieve a NC like in football.

So your great job is is drawing form a pool of low-majors, non-bb power mid-majors, fired HCs, or HCs looking to run from trouble at their current spot, unless your program has a personal tie to the big name or your a blue blood.

Solid. Underwhelming. Potential. This describes basket ball hires more often than home run hire.

Of course everyone is lining up to be outed in public by HY a bad season later.

Ole Miss 247 boards, Trilly Donovan, there were two guys in Pinto's twitter space last night that are nationally connected that said he would 100% be interested (one was the guy from MA that first reported that Muss didn't know HY was dropping the video)

Or lambasted with false information and haters from supposed fans on message boards.

I wouldn’t take a job here if other comparable jobs were available.

Buncha quitters in our fanbase.

From a trolling perspective both Beard and Wade are goldmines.

I don’t think the Tiger Rant would survive us hiring Wade. Probably a Jim Jones-esque, one last trip to FlavorTown finally puts it out of its misery.

Beard would make up for the dismal failure of missing on Kiffin, plus bonus sad Longhorn memes.

I could give a rip about Ole Miss…I want Beard as Texas comes into the league so he can kick their asses.

Curious if you have any names that you think could pop up/work out from this group. I ask because you’re one of the more knowledgeable posters on the board when it comes to basketball

That pool is full of HCs who flew too close to the sun too soon (Drew, Pelphrey, etc), guys who have little to no real experience HC experience (Heath, Gates, etc) and guys who have been on a steady trajectory toward this level (Martin, Counzo, etc).

This isn't the pool you want to go swimming in, more often than not coaching searches funds themselves here because they didn't have their guy hired before the other guy was fired/forced out.

We've seen this play out at Arkansas, always after the can't miss guy didn't come as promised pre coaching change...

Too many names being tossed around are the downward trajectory to this pool to get excited about, thankfully it's just message board chatter, but HY has shown to be in the back of this bus of morons eating crayons and licking the windows.

Both Wade and Beard have proven they can do these things. The trolling is a bonus.

I understand peoples beef with Yurachek, but I think Muss wants out. He wants to be back in California. I don't think Muss is worth Top 5 money, I'll have to side with Yura on this.

That and he's a good coach. He's top of my list and I think he would crawl to Fayetteville to be the coach here.

At the time there was nothing however, even though you called me a bitch, good call.

ETA: Not on calling me a bitch, on calling it that muss was leaving

He basically left us with an empty roster so it's hard for me to feel too bad for him if he does...
Built our program back and obliterated it again in a 5 year period.
