Herbert, the field conditions or a curse.

For an offseason program we always come out with injuries and guys not developing anymore speed or quickness.

The parking garage field might be too hard under the surface.

Hoping it's more like this and not season ending, but from what Hammonds posted on twitter it sounds long term

quote:

The injury is said to be similar to the meniscus tear he suffered last August. That injury also required surgery, though Hammonds recovered in time to suit up for the Razorbacks’ season opener in early September.

Sounds like a history of knee problems now. I'm wondering if he will be like child's now.

Might as well get my fire Bert sign ready in case I need it.

Others are saying he may only miss one or 2 games. 4-5 weeks. If so I'll be relieved and put my fire bert sign down for a minute.

The good thing is we do have pretty good depth at least

If we had to lose someone, WR would probably be the position I'd choose. Not that we're necessarily stacked there, but it might be the one position we can afford to give up a little.

Meh, I don't necessarily agree with that. We're not "thin" at WR per se, but we lost arguably the most experience year/year in that position. Cornelius constituted something like 95% of our returning production at WR and now he's out with back tightness, so we couldn't afford to lose another kid with game experience like Hammonds.

At least the bye week comes early this year, which potentially limits the number of games he'd miss. I'm hoping he's back by TCU, but we'll mainly need him back and fresh for A&M, which is 7 weeks away.

I don't disagree with that, but what other position would you prefer to lose a starter? The defense as a whole really can't afford to lose anything. I guess you could make an argument for TE.

So, not really on subject, but after viewing several of the threads on the rant recently, I just freaking hope we knock one or more of them down a peg. I don't expect miracles or anything outrageous AND I say that without being pissed off, melty, aggravated or anything of the sort.

I just wanna see other's meltiness and arrogance smacked in the face.

Sounds like Pettway is having a big day. Two long TD catches.

Chase Hayden had a 65 yard run after it looked like he was bottled up but he squirmed free.

Koilan Jackson made a one handed grab for a TD off of Pulley, who was in good coverage but nothing he could do about it.

Our pass defense sounds suspect

Curl was in coverage for Pettway's second TD. Not sure about the first. They said he was called for PI on the play but Pettway still made the catch

Pettway was picking on our freshman Cb's. Which I would hope would happen from a 3rd year guy who is much bigger than them.

This was these guys first experience vs big time college players. They will grow over the season.

I really wanted those wins against State, & Florida last year, & glad we got them.

Really want to get that Texas A&M win this season. Also hope Saban leaves after this season.
