Cauley finished 1 under for the day, tied for 32nd. Had 3 birdies, but hit 2 bogies also. Didn't catch it, but I think he struggled with his approach on the green. Hopefully he'll have some better chip shots to set up easier putts.

Thomas just started and hit an eagle on hole one. He's at hole 3 right now, 184 yards to the hole on a par 4.

Thomas even at par. Still has two more holes to go. Haven't watched much, but going by the shot tracker, he hasn't putted well today.

Mullinax is 4 over through 12 holes. He's been wildly inaccurate off the tee.

Wasn't able to watch any golf today unfortunately, but I see Thomas, Bohn, and Mullinax didn't make the cut. Cauley is even at par.

Cauley tees off a 1:56 p.m.

Patton Kizzire is even at par so far through 15. He started on the back 9, and had 5 birdies. Unfortunately, he had a shot penalty on the 3rd hole and got a double bogie. Also had two bogies on the back 9. He had a beautiful approach shot on the 18th that was slightly downhill and 200 yards from the hole.

Didn't get to watch the AP Invitational, but I heard it was really good. Both Cauley and Patton didn't make the cut unfortunately, but Marc Leishman won the tournament, shooting 11 under. Guy hit a 51-foot eagle putt on the 16th. Wow.

Unfortunately, I've missed most of golf the last two weeks but as expected, Dustin Johnson is rolling.

College golf news:

Alabama men finished 7 under par, and fifth at the Linger Longer Invitational. This is the 2nd straight tournament the men has had a top 5 finish, so they're getting better. Davis Riley finished 8th in the tournament and had 16 total birdies. The men will compete in the Mason Rudolph Championship next.

Alabama's women's team is still ranked 3rd in the nation. They've been off for the last 3 weekends, but will play at the Bryan National Collegiate this weekend. Lauren Stephenson and Cheyenne Knight both rank in the top 10 for top golfers in the women's rankings.

Thompson is hitting confidently. 3 birdies in a row now, now 4 under, and has a one stroke lead for first.

Not looking good so far for Thompson on the front 9. 3 out of the last 4 holes have been bogies, and he's only been through 6 holes and has shot a 28.

Finished with a 32 on the back 9, 4 under.

Haven't watched anything outside of the first round. LaSt I saw was Fowler starting out in round 1 8 under. Now he's 6 strokes behind Kang.

Another OT news, Woods officially not playing in the Matsers. Bummer for a guy like myself who got into golf because of Woods. Seems like he just can't get it together.

Anyways, Michael Thompson is tied for 8th, 8 under par. Through 13, he's 4 under today. Hopefully he can finish strong and get a top 10 finish.

The Masters has officially teed off. And I'm missing most of today because of 2 test.

Thomas will tee off around 2. Very unfortunate to hear about Dustin Johnson yesterday. Hopefully he'll be alright and can play normally. Definitely the favorite to put on the green jacket.
