JT with a hole in one today. He's in first headed into Sunday.

It's beginning to look like Thomas is at a higher level in his sport than any UA athlete besides Julio. He's 9th in the world and climbing.

Great golf all around, other than Mickleson constantly hitting from the rough or behind some damn trees. But he's he best at hole-outs, so it made for some great shots. On top of JT's unexpected hole in one, everyone seemed to have some really good putts.

Great round of golf. Hopefully Thomas can finish.

Alabama Men's golf in 6th place, 1 under par. Lee Hodges shot a 68 and 69 both rounds, and is tied for 2nd in the tournament. Hitchner (-2) and Jonathan Hardee (E) have done alright also. Dru Love and Steven Setterstrom are killing us, but at least we're still 1 under.

Michigan has a hell of a team.

Women's team is tied with Duke for the lead, shooting 5 over. Our freshman, Kristen Gillman, has sank in 10 birdies over 2 rounds and is 3 under. Cheyenne Knight is 2 under. The other 3 have shot a combined 27 over par (yikes). Surprised Stephenson is shooting 4 over, since her average score is around 70. Just doing some math, there's an average of 6.5 birdies on the front 9, compared to an average of 12.75 birdies on the back 9. If the women's team seals this, it will be their 2nd event win of the year.

Nice start for JT so far. Good shot from the bunker to set up a nice putt for the birdie.

Yeah he's getting frustrated with his swing. Think he'll just settle for a top 5 finish.

Snedeker just sunk in an awesome putt.

Thomas finishes 11 under and tied for 5th. Shot one over for the day. Dustin Johnson wins the WGC 14 under. Very entertaining weekend of golf.

Hell yes, women's golf wins by 2 strokes over Duke. 2nd straight victory at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate tournament.

Totally forgot, but the Men's team actually finished 3rd at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate tournament and shot 7 under. Kind of expected, but Michigan won the tournament shooting 13 under, but a good sign for the Bama team as they shot 6 under in the final round. Lee Hodges shot 12 birdies, 37 pars, 1 eagle, and finished 2nd overall for the tournament. Jonathan Hardee actually finished first in pars, but only had 9 birdies the whole tournament.

Lee Hodges actually won this tournament individually, huge for him to step up without one of our better players there. He's a transfer from UAB and obviously a legit talent. Would like to see this squad put together a few more high finishes this spring.

The girls are absolutely fantastic... top to bottom full of talent. They can certainly take it all the way.

That's awesome, I don't know how I missed that he won it individually. I think we'll have a few more top finishes, but I would really like for us to win some events before the SECT.

Thanks for all the updates. I've been reading but don't post much between February and April. I get snowed under at work and just don't have as much time.

No problem. This is honestly my favorite time of year sports wise, so it's all fun.

Cauley is even at par through 7. 1 birdie and one bogie so far.

Russell Henley is killing it right now. 80% driving accuracy, and 87% GIR%.
