Great student support last night. I thought Matt Foster and Burrows looked good. Nice to see us win a close game. We are going to need a lot of that this year. And of course Chandler Taylor was great. I have decided he will be my favorite player this year. It would be huge to win this series against such a good team. Oh and I loved Gene Wood battling at the plate last night. Roll Tide!

Aside from Taylor, I was really impressed with Cobie Vance at 2b. He made some really nice plays in the field.

Except they tore STS down to the ground and rebuilt it entirely. WTF are you talking about? I honestly wonder if you ever attended a baseball game at STS before the renovation. Night and day.

I went to almost every home game there from 96-98 while I was in school, and at least one almost every year since.
Maybe I'm being hard on it because I had such high expectations. I don't know. I was just underwhelmed with it. The exterior and concourse areas are awesome, and the club area looks nice as well. Once I got to my seat on the 3rd base line, it felt like the Old Joe with a more comfortable seat.

Were you expecting a MLB park? The new Joe is nicer than many new minor league parks I've been to, let alone other college stadiums. It is right there with anyone in the SEC.
