I used to coach Taylor in football. Kid is a hell of an athlete.

Saw him hit one about 350 when he was 12.

Can't wait to see Jon Keller come back. He was on the watch list for the Greg Olson before his injury.

Junior relief pitcher Thomas Burrows was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award Watch List, the organization announced on Monday afternoon. This is Burrows' second consecutive year being named to the watch list.

Burrows enters the 2016 campaign, looking to pick up where he left off after a hot final month of the 2015 season. The left-hander closed out his sophomore year by going 1-0 with three saves and sported a 0.96 ERA (1 ER/9.1 IP) with 10 strikeouts in his seven appearances, all against conference opposition. Overall, Burrows made a team-high 27 appearances while collecting seven saves in those outings. He finished his second season with a 1-3 overall record and a 3.22 ERA across 36.1 innings of work.

As a freshman, he racked up 11 saves and a 2.15 ERA (9 ER/37.2 IP), while striking out 34 and limiting opposing hitters to a .174 average. He finished at 4-2 overall and led the team with 24 relief appearances. For his efforts, Burrows was named a Collegiate Baseball and NCBWA Freshman All-American, while also claiming SEC All-Freshman Team honors.

For his career, Burrows owns a 5-5 record with a 2.68 ERA (22 ER/74.0 IP). His 18 career saves currently ties for fourth in program history with David Robertson (2005-06). He has also limited opposing hitters to a .223 average and struck out 72 compared to only 30 walks issued.

The 2016 Stopper of the Year Watch List will be updated with a midseason release on Wednesday, April 27, including national saves leaders. At the conclusion of the regular season, the Division I national saves leader and four other relief pitching standouts will be selected as finalists and released Wednesday, June 8, prior to the start of NCAA Super Regional competition.

Just a little notice before the season starts:
I will post the team record in the thread title and with the schedule. Also, I will post a preview and recap of each game on the schedule. If there are any highlight videos available I will post it with the recap. Once I see our starting lineups I will post it in the third post on the first page. I won't update it for every game, more just the general lineup. Over the next couple of days I will put a link to the coaches and players twitter pages with the roster. I don't do twitter much but some people like to follow it If anyone has any suggestions feel free to mention it. I want this thread to be both functional and enjoyable. Roll Tide!

Just posted the previews on the first page for anyone who wants to read. I was a little surprised not to see Keller not in the weekend rotation.

We really need a strong start from Bramblett tonight. Not sure how much our offense will be able to do, so he has got to keep it low scoring.
