How do you figure that? Hurts completions in games thus far:

2016: 6, 23, 19, 16, 20, 13, 17, 15, 10, 28, 15, 27, 11, 7, 13

Jet sweeps...technically a pass, but for all practical purposes a handoff...shouldn't even be considered when evaluating passing statistics. And I don't put that much stock in bubble screens, either, when evaluating our passing game. The reality is that for almost a full season now, we haven't had much of a downfield passing game, and it's for a variety of reasons...poor pass protection, bad route running, receivers not working back to the QB when he's under pressure, receivers dropping balls, a QB that doesn't check down to secondary receivers very well and is quick to bail on the pocket and run. It is what it is.

What Mond did against our defense is more impressive than what a seasoned Hurts did against their defense. We can and will win a lot of games with Hurts but we won't beat a good team this year like Clemson or Auburn.

We know, you've said it at least 5 times in the last 24 hours.

We get it.

Everyone is melting today but one thing I haven't seen acknowledged enough is Aggie has a legit front seven. Chavis is a damn good coach and they have some really good players on defense...fast, athletic guys. It wasn't a good showing but Aggie is underrated...how they blew the UCLA game is beyond me. Plus it was at their house and they brought it hard.

Every week we have to freak out about something.

I don't know how many seasons have to ebb and flow before people figure out that things change week to week.

Here is the one thing that Jalen has that NO other starter has in the SEC:
the "it' factor.

How many times has he pulled out that clutch throw or run to pick up the necessary first down? Hell, he even did it against Clemson last year that should have been "the drive" for Bama for 2016, but the defense let it slip away.

Tua has yet to play when needed. Can he handle the pressure of a 2 minute drive for a win? Perhaps, but we don't know that yet.

Until Hurts starts losing Bama games, I am more than satisfied.

Michigan lost, OU lost, and Clemson struggled with Wake Forest

Yep - we win and keep winning and literally haven't had a game like Michigan and OU had yesterday in a DECADE.

There are specific things that we "struggle" with and that may pop up and be the keys to a loss down the road. That's totally possible.

- QB pressure without blitzing
- Ability to move the ball through the air when the run game is bottled up
- kicking game

However, those who seem to be hanging off the cliff discuss these issues while negating to discuss the multitude of possible issues the teams we could lose to (which are very few) also have.

- Clemson's offense has been clunkier than ours has this year, their QB is probably a slightly better thrower than Jalen but not as talented a runner and their run game/O-line is not as good as ours
- Stidham has yet to prove he can throw under pressure and their offensive line is still at best above average. We also gashed their same defense and scheme for 500+ yards last season, including 200+ on the ground and 298 through the air.
- Fromm has yet to be tested in a game in which he is forced to win a game through the air and their offensive line is above average but not fantastic. On top of that, they are a pro-style run at you team.

So, it is what it is. We have issues and things that could cost us games. It sucks not to be perfect. But I don't understand spending your entire life freaked the fvck out or mad as fvck about things that haven't even happened yet without even fully considering the future matchup. It doesn't make me mad, but I don't understand why someone would want to act like that.

You post trash like this then say you never say anything bad about him days later.

Mond was so impressive he threw an INT and had a fumble. So impressive his QBR (29.9!) was lower than Jalen who had a bad game.

You guys are so pathetic you would praise anybody to hate on Hurts. Next you will be talking up Etling and Darmondy.

Would have beat the aggies last night and possibly had better passing stats than Hurts. Yes, Jalen is that bad. If you take away his ground game you completely shut him down. I don't understand how you guys have convinced yourselves that he is a good quarterback. He would be great at Georgia Tech or Navy.

It’s like this every week with CD, Huddie, uofarolltide, and Karem. Hurts is not perfect, but he has the “it” factor, which goes a long way in college football.

It's 2017. Being a good quarterback isn't just about putting up passing yards. I know that your simpleton brain can't comprehend that idea, but maybe if you try hard enough it will seep through the jello.

I’ve tried not to lose my cool too much with the hurts hate crowd but sometimes I’m left speechless.

AM was 2nd in sacks, it showed

Our OL and WR group had struggles

Our PK had a bad game

Even with all that we won.

Jalen missed a few but hit some nice ones as well. And he ran some really nice runs that help put the game away. The touchdown play where he moved the safety was outstanding. I just don’t get it. The kid works his arse off and produces for this team and gets shite on weekly.

Did you notice that the A&M true freshman, also under pressure, avoided the rush but still managed to make some big plays downfield?

You mean the guy that threw a goal line interception, had an ESPN QBR of 27, and lost?

If that's your thing, ok. If you don't mind, I'll just stick with the winner.

More telling, what they're really doing is saying Saban doesn't know what he is doing. At this point, the idea that anyone could still believe that is simply mind-blowing.

Honestly I thought Jalen was pretty underwhelming last night. His progress has not been great this year and I was hoping for more. I also think there is a shot that down the road a better team might bottle us up and I'm not sure we can beat them throwing the ball.

However, that's not new, and I don't really know what the point of saying it every 17 minutes is. There is not a better option that doesn't risk abandoning some of the things we do very well or fracturing the team. So, it is what it is.
