True, he started the year 7/7 including 3 from beyond 40. Hopefully that's what we'll get this season

I agree with a lingering back issue, it would have been wise to bring in a kicker as an insurance policy this year from JUCO or whatever. Maybe Rayborn has improved? Just hope his back holds up and he can hit 70% of his FG's this year.

@AaronSuttles: Saban: O.J. Howard is one of our best players, so we're going to feature him in every way we can.

He needs to have his arse kicked. It would help.

You should go kick his arse

Wouldn't shock me if TFS ends up with more catches.

I said he needs it kicked. Not that I personally have the equipment for it. For his own good. Hell I love the guy. Don't paint me the a-hole g.

Alabama returned to the practice field Wednesday afternoon, as the Crimson Tide players practiced indoors and in full pads on a mostly-sunny, 90-degree afternoon in Tuscaloosa. It was the team's third practice of Wisconsin week.
Here are several tidbits from the media viewing portion of Alabama's Wednesday practice session:
- I watched the quarterbacks for the one viewing period and saw Cooper Bateman throw a couple of bullet passes to wide out Richard Mullaney. A few passes later, though, Bateman whiffed on a pass to Cameron Sims.
- Sims was once again wearing a white jersey and brace on his left knee and appeared to be moving well during drills.
- I also saw wide receiver Robert Foster make a few impressive catches. He was running crisp, quick routes Wednesday.
- Running back Bo Scarbrough was once again wearing a white No. 6 jersey, representing Wisconsin's starting running back Corey Clement. Clement was the Badgers' backup last season, behind starter Melvin Gordon.
"He still rushed for almost 1,000 yards considering what Melvin Gordon did," inside linebacker Reggie Ragland said of Clement. "We have to prepare the right way for him. You can't look over his head. We've got to make sure we're doing the right things. He's a good back. He's quick, he can run, and he might run over you, too."
- A scout from the Dallas Cowboys watched Wednesday's practice from the sideline of the indoor practice facility.

what difference does the outside temp. mean for this beat report to have to comment on an inside practice.

So Saban is supposedly unhappy with fan expectations yet he makes a statement like this? Further evidence that the "He's unhappy" reports are probably complete BS.
I've been saying everytime people say "that's unrealistic expectations" that Saban feels the same way. He wants a title every year. Who wouldn't? Accepting less will get you less.

If we ever lined up with Allen, Payne, and Robinson on the DL at the same time the entire DL would be former five stars.
Posted on 9/3/15 at 4:12 am to AllBamaDoesIsWin
Is Payne the big dude with a beard that is always mean muggin in pictures?

I believe you're thinking of A'Shawn Robinson. He's a bad, bad man.
I wouldn't even try to block him out of fear of what he'd do to me. He can go right through.

I'm kind of hoping Cooper Bateman is our starting QB this season.

How I feel about each:
Coker - Big arm, could potentially hit a looooot of explosive plays down the field. His size should hopefully make him hard to bring down unless it's a blindside rusher. Has enough athleticism to move around, and can take off if everything goes to hell. Probably not a dynamic runner.
Morris - Solid. I'd say of all 5 QBs he either has the weakest arm or the second weakest ahead of Bateman, but don't take that as meaning he has a bad arm. He has a really solid arm. Has been on the team the longest, is apparently well liked in the locker room. Word is he knows the offense and makes good decisions. Could be the "safe" choice.
Bateman - Liked him coming out. Solid arm, decent size, very good athlete. May be a "dynamic" runner. Nick seemed very impressed by his accuracy. I thought he looked really good at the 2014 A-Day. His numbers don't reflect that, but gotta remember he wasn't throwing to the best WRs and didn't have the best OL blocking for him.
All three, hopefully, can get it done. I'm intrigued by the fact that Coker spent three years in the film room with Jimbo Fisher and is now spending two in the film room with Lane Kiffin and Nick Saban. Maybe he doesn't have the natural instinct that few QBs have, but one would think he should know how to carve a defense up. His decision making seems to be questionable though.

Ok. Now I see why Robinson is so successful.
