Here he is laying Terrence Magee to rest.

I feel like The Undertaker would be a fitting nickname for him. Or something shorter...like, idk, Death.

I am starting to think some of the issues with the QBs may be linked to the reports of our O changing this season. If some of the speculation is correct all these guys are basically starting over learning how to run the plays and go through the progression. Especially returning guys who learned one system and may now be playing in a faster system.

But in the end we still go with our bread and butter and that run it.

Idk. That feels like it would be much to put on the guys. I'm sure tweaks here and there with some new plays thrown in, but I wouldn't liken it to learning a new system. Terminology I'm sure is the same. Progressions may change. I'm in the camp that Saban and Lane have known who will start and want to put missinformation out to the media. I trust their opinion. I don't care who starts I just want to win.

Actually, I think these guys didn't show the staff that they could be productive in a true pro-style system (i.e. Blake Sims) so Kiffin is designing a scheme to take advantage of what these guys are good at doing. Or at least something that would minimize their deficiencies and take advantage of the ridiculous talent we have at the other skill positions.

Much like he did with Blake. People try to knock Kiffin, but the dude is smart.

Grant Hill and i understand there is a medical issue. What, no one has come out and said.

It's not an "injury nor mono" issue. He was seen working out tuesday on his own in his hometown per a mutual friend.

Hill did get mono which is why he initially stopped playing. He then battled other things, but it's more mental/depression than any actual physical injury. That's what I understand anyway. Just because he was working out in his hometown doesn't really reveal anything.

Damn, 217 and he is a true freshman that just got on campus during the summer. The kid is going to be around 225-230 when he graduates. That means he can take some hits.

I really hope his gotten the blocking scheme down. That is the one thing that can keep him sidelined.

Yea, that ruined Henry's freshman year. I remember AJ jumping his arse in the Virginia Tech game

You're correct and I should have Been more clear in my initial response.
Mental/Depression is just part of his battle. Yes working out doesn't reveal anything other than he's not dealing with a physical injury.

Yeah, had he been good at it he may have played a lot more. I did like AJ holding him accountable though.

Yeldon came in and was a pretty good pass blocking guy, so maybe Harris can pick it up quick too.

That's what kept Shaun Alexander on the sideline in 1996. Funny story about that game. A friend of mine was walking out of Tiger Stadium and some Cajun asks him where the hell Alexander had been all year. My friend responds that he'd been on the sideline because he can't block. The Cajun replied "shite, that's like asking Secretariat to plow."

Just a heads up... fall practice is kinda over.. Saturday morning will be unstickying this thread as we will be into game weeks instead.

Also.. whoever wants to do the Game thread... start it about an hour or two before the game and it'll be stickied.
