Lionel Ritchie has not died.
He and the 'Tuskegee Commodores' used to play in my hometown at school dances, homecomings, etc. during the late 60s and early 70s
We were sort of fortunate in the area of music. 'Allman Joys" used to play the NG Armory Friday nights when they lived in my town and their producer Johnny Sandlins town.
Gig bands of some of the worlds finest musicians from over in Muscle Shoals used to play at all the places at the Tennessee State line where I learned my love for cold draft beer when the legal age was 18 there.. This enriched Limestone County Alabama as their Sherriff patrolled those returning from said state line activities.
Ah, good times.. Club 17 St Joseph/Lorreta; Pioneer Club, Pulaski some (some of them anyway), a huge one in Elkton
