Everybody has there own opinions about this subject. I can tell you this much, I see far more Italian last names in the Baton Rouge area in general than Cajun ones. This is pretty much evident in the fact you can find far better Italian food than Cajun in BR.

Baton Rouge is neither. For example, take a look at how most Baton Rouge natives don’t have a southern or Cajun accent.
