He lost his case initially. NCAA upheld the two year suspension and then just recently out of nowhere from the outside looks as if they either changed their mind or he is on a waiver while the family continues to fight. I would absolutely love to be wrong and have him this year and next but I thought it was a waiver scenario.

Nope, after he passes his drug test he is free and clear. No more litigation, meetings, etc. He is free to play ball.

Alleva > Fulton family lawyer

Let that sink in.

Can you read? Joe Alleva sent a 4 page letter to the NCAA stating that the punishment should fall under the 1 year rule instead of the 2 year rule and the interpretation committee agreed.

Fulton didn't break any laws, there are no court cases. This scenario is nothing like Elliot, which was a LEGAL issue for domestic violence.

Athletic director Joe Alleva even said at the time he couldn’t conceive of what further measures the school could take on Fulton’s behalf. But the school and the former Lehigh University quarterback launched a Hail Mary pass anyway in the form of a four-page letter to the NCAA, requesting a reclassification of Fulton’s penalty that would result in a one-year suspension instead of two.
